Vaccine Poll

good idea - i am also holding off for now - just to get more information on how people with complex health issues are responding - and if any of the vaccines seem less troublesome than others.

Anecdotally, I know of four people with long-term chronic Lyme who feel practically recovered following the Moderna vaccine. Their systems reacted for about a month, and then they say it was like a fog lifed and their Lyme symptoms they've had for years are gone. One person I know had the same experience with the Pfizer vaccine. Again, these are just anecdotes, but they intrigue me.

I don't know anyone who has relapsed from any of the vaccines, and neither does my LLMD or any of the other eight LLMDs at her practice (all of whom enthusiastically recommend all three vaccines because they have plenty of patients who are suffering mightily following COVID, including previously-healthy people). All of the doctors and staff, many of whom never normally take or recommend vaccines, took the mRNA vaccines and unequivocally recommend them - not because they're 100% guaranteed flawless vaccines, but because COVID is too unpredictable and potentially dangerous.

I definitely understand wanting to gather information about how dysregulated immune systems respond to these vaccines before deciding what to do for your own health, especially if you are able to live in isolation comfortably for a long while longer. I would love it if people here felt free to post about their actual experiences (not just opinions) without fear of judgment.

I am one week out from the J&J vaccine - felt crappy with fever for about 36 hours, then mostly okay with a manageable headache for a few days, extra fatigued today. I was stable and functional beforehand aside from the physical stress of some seasonal pollen allergies and some strenuous yard work days. Since vaccine side effects can take a week or two to arise and dissipate, I don't feel like I can weigh in yet about its impact on my chronic illness issues, but I will do so honestly in another week or so!

My partner (who has the autoimmune disease psoriatic arthritis, fairly well-controlled with meditation and Brooke Goldner's protocol) had his second dose of Pfizer on Thursday. He had a fever for 36 hours and was fine thereafter, so far. No uptick in pain or skin symptoms.

Im still chicken to do it. Everyone I know is already on their second shot or in line to get it somewhere.

Although "healed" from lyme, my continued low immune system (testing proof) is why im chicken. Yet Ive not had a cold in over a year. Im getting social pressure to just "go for it".

Well done Thousand, i am with you. For them we are guinea pigs indeed, thats why they are still running the "humanimal" trials...Will not let the usual phrase that irresponsible doctors, health agencies in the world are using, wish is "the benefits are greater than the risks", wish correctly translated, means "If the number of people, who don't die after getting the vaccine, is greater than the people who die from it, then it justifies their deaths and taking the risk of dying". Except they wont tell people, if they are lucky enough to stay alive after taking it.
If people stay alive, fine, if not, they will be left with their own safe and effective(tm) ... coffins.

By the way, the ones who stay alive, are still gifted with the possibility of developing still unknown chronic or fatal diseases in the future, guaranteed by the "usual suspects experts " it will never happen, like they guaranteed before.., but if they happen, they will suspend it again or perhaps not. Until then, they say "just dive in, but we don't guarantee you can ever comeback to the surface again. "

Before you knew that you were complaining that the trials were too short...

Make your email available and I will explain why "absolute risk" increases when going from 0-3 months, to 0-6 months, and so on.

So you're getting your booster that soon after the initial dose?

Nice pots, keep us posted how you do! You could always schedule the booster for 6 weeks after the initial shot, some speculation that people do better further apart (and that they were scheduled so closely in the trials due to time constraints). Mine is currently scheduled for May 5th, 3 weeks after initial dose. Thinking about moving.

At the same time, I do Calmare therapy for nerve pain in early may as well, and I'd prefer to do the booster before doing the treatment. Tough decision.

isitlyme: sounds like you're halfway there.. if you want, my offer stands. It should be easy to sort this out without an audience.

That sucks k07! I’ve read it takes at least 2 weeks for the immunity to start to develop. Supposedly by 4 weeks you have 80-85%. I was thinking of stopping at one though, but stories like that make me just want to get fully vaccinated


Anyone paying attention to what’s going on w India? Going berserk there. Impossible to vaccinate 1.2b people there, which means covid is here to stay forever. So the choice is clear, get the vaccine or eventually catch covid.

I also think it means we should just do away with all restrictions. So long as the hospitals aren’t overrun, open it all up. What’s the point of restrictions if you can’t stop it and the hospitals have space. There are plenty of vaccines available for anyone that wants one. open it all up. Eventually we ready herd immunity, by vaccine or by infection.

The Moderna and Pfizer are both 2 shot vaccines as that is how they were administered in the trials.. with the second shot 3-4 weeks after the first.

There is now evidence that 1 shot provides a good deal of protection though.. somewhere around 70-80% (second shot providing 90+%). If I have any issues with the first shot I'll definitely consider canceling my appt for the second.

My husband got his Pfizer shot in Feb and he isn’t scheduled for his booster yet.
We have been on a slowet schedule here in BC Canada.

Still on the fence about getting mine and still leaning on the “not getting it”side.

This “audience” is not interested in your opinion battles.

This post was set up as a poll for those who actually got one of the vaccines, but of course, some of you seize every opportunity to chase each other.

I guess it would be interesting to do a poll to get an idea of how many of us will take the vaccine.

Is there any way to see the results of this poll w/o voting?
