What does clindamycin kill that my other abx don’t

So when I’m relapsed clindamycin helps my throat get better from being swollen and constricted and none of my other abx do. I don’t know if it’s because the other break biofilm or what. But I’d like to know if there’s some infection it’s treating that none of the others are.

My other abx are ceftin, mycobutin, artemisia, cryptolepis and ivermectin.

Short answer -EVERYTHING LOL
I was hoping someone would ask this question as I've been wondering the same. I know it's used to treat babesia, dental bacteria.its a broad spectrum antibiotic and also kills off protozoa in the gut. I took clindamycin for a week even though I had 1 negative babesia test but took it for dental infection and let me tell u it almost killed me. Ever since that 1 week it's been a month amd shelf and the anxiety panic and depression persists. Idk what it killed off bt definitely something. I'm refusing to touch clindamycin again as I had suicidal thoughts and got depressed . Its strong stuff

After treating Babesia for approx 5 months Dr J had me go on the “Persisters/Bart “ protocol.

Clindamycin was part of it - i think the main reason was to keep the Babesia at bay while working on Bartonella.

Anyone ever got upper stomach pain from clindamycin? What could that be? Pain in the liver? I always thought the liver doesn't have any pain receptors?

Yesssss,happened to me right in the upper stomach. Somewhere in between cramps and just a aching stomach. Clindamycin is heavy stuff and in my case my.git flora was already messed up ( sibo and yeast, need more probiotics) I had a stomach ache upper stomach by the 1st week

Yes, clindamycin caused me esophagitis. It would hurt after I swallowed. Not sure what the mechanism is, but I stopped taking it. Probably acid reflux.

It can give you clostridium difficil I think. Also gave me acid reflux, though I wondering if that was only the regular version and if my compounded version doesn’t do that.

I see someone mentioned c diff. Not to be gross bt my 1st time on clindamycin bk then and not knowing I had lyme , bart, babs I literally crapped myself outside lol didnt even know it was going to happen as I didnt even feel I had to go. It kind of makes your bowels weak if it makes sense .

Just found out clindamycin kills off toxoplasma gondii.

I keep wondering if mycoplasma is a huge issue for me... not sure if clindamycin kills it or if any of my other abx do...
