LLMD recommendation in Southern AZ

I have a friend who could use a more knowledgeable doctor in Tucson. It doesnt necessarily need to be a LLMD, but any veteran Lyme expert willing to treat the chronic neuro form.

My friend already has a great tincture and homeopathic doctor, but I really think a veteran Lyme specialist knowledgeable of the latest ABX protocols is needed here too.

I've been through the community search lists of course and there is just nothing nearby.

In my very limited personal experience its not always the same thing, but perhaps I'm splitting hairs.

In the DC area specifically, the state boards are still attacking the licenses of LLMDs and so many great doctors are in hiding or simply not calling themselves LLMDs. LLMDs have also started referring patients to open minded non-Lyme specialists in order to treat patients and you wont find them on any LLMD list either.

My last three LLMDs have all had their licenses revoked both in Maryland and Virginia so the climate is getting pretty terrible here. This might be why my current doc (an inflammation disease expert) refuses the title. Same treatment, same protocols, different title.

Wow - I didn’t know that!
I thought that was all in the past.
Dr J moved his practice a few times (was sued more than once and even went bankrupt) - and in Washington DC he hasn’t been hassled.
Is it because DC isn’t a State? Different rules ? I’m Canadian so not familiar

Definitely not in the past. A couple of LLMDs in Maryland have gotten their licenses back, but the LLMDs in Virginia are actively under fire and losing licenses. I can understand both sides of the argument, but in the meantime patients are dying waiting for the research to catch up with the clinic treatment successes.

Interesting, I just now found a database of open medical board cases against doctors. If you did deep enough, you can find some of the LLMD cases.

Here is a reprimand for my LLMD (Dr Z.) in VA, that eventually led to a license revocation. Its actually a very interesting read and the legendary Dr. Horowitz even showed up to testify on her behalf:

No surprise: they appear to be targeting LLMDs treating patients with long term ABXs who are not overwhelmingly positive for LD or coinfections.
