Getting first vaccine dose in a few hours, please wish me luck :)

My vaccination was roughly 16 hours ago in my upper right arm. It was pretty painless at the time.

My upper arm wasn’t really bothersome sore until sleeping in bed last night, Which it woke me up several times. Did some massage and myofascial release on it this morning.

This is kind of weird because when I had dry needling which is just what it sounds like and used for relieving muscle knots in many parts of my body . the needle itself did not result in any soreness anywhere from dry needling, and it’s very deep not like acupuncture at all.

So this tells me that and soreness is not from the needle that was administering the vaccine but the vaccine contents itself.

My whole back seemed a little unusually tight today and I didn’t do anything that would’ve warranted this yesterday sometimes that just happens with me when I’m in bed to long.

As far as any other symptoms from the vaccine I don’t have anything notable at this time. My morning brain function is normal.

I took the day off and was going to go to the gym or maybe even canoeing, but I guess I’ll be doing other things instead since my Upper arm is still sore.

Current information on the CDC website says the FDA will soon OK this vaccine so it will be official. CDC also is now recommending a third shot of Moderna for those that are truly immunocompromised. I asked the pharmacist about this he said that’ll mostly be done in an actual doctors office upon proof of testing that reveals if someone truly does have an immuno compromised body. They just aren’t going to hand out a third shot to people who say they are because most people Don’t even truly know immunocompromised means.

My vaccine report became a little long lol.

If anything negative Symptoms arise, i will make a separate post .....I’m guessing and hoping that will not happen.

It does Seem odd to me that some people do get a slight immune reaction from the vaccine even though it’s not even a “live “ Vaccine.

On an unrelated plus side I have the day off and it’s one of the most beautiful days we’ve had this summer compared to the unusual blistering sunny 2-1/2 month long heatwave. it feels like a fall day in the north land; 65° F , slight breeze and not humid , perfect for a leisurely bike ride. 😊

Well it is mounting an immune response.

I also think it sort of scans the body and goes to all the weak/LD points. I'm super sensitive and could feel it going to different areas but quickly gone.

You are very fortunate to have such a day. It's hotter than Hades in NYC.

And if you are up for a bike ride - you will be just fine. I'm still waiting for my energy to return. It will. I think the heat isn't helping.

I think I will be getting my second shot end of September.
My first was July 17 .

There was an announcement a few days ago that all workers in the care homes will have to have both shots and masks only won’t be accepted.

I don’t know when it’s in effect.

I may be missing work as I have awhile to wait before my second.

I think you are making the right choice. I've been reading more and more that spacing them out if much better for anyone with LD. Also read a few studies (I believe they were out of UK and Israel) that it built more immunity when they were spaced out. Of course we are still vulnerable but if careful it should be fine.

I'm doing the same. I'm not getting mine until end of September - maybe even early October.

NYC is first state to officially say you can't go to a restaurant or any inside venue without proof of vaccination. Yikes.

Well yeah that makes sense. Even though I am technically immuno compromised with under range IGG and Low in a few other immune cells I rarely get colds and ever since wearing a mask for year and a half I have not had any cold.

That said , The USA was doing good The spring and early summer, but then this delta variant Started to spread in certain areas. And the certain areas seem to be where there’s summer partying going on, Even outside.Beach parties , outdoor music concerts , Summer county and state fairs etc., it’s only a matter time before it spreads to other areas as people drive home or visit other states.

Three people I work with got the regular Covid last year, after their children got it. The only people I’ve heard of through friends and relatives and fellow employers who died were peoples older parents. I know some other middle-aged people who got it and actually did have to go to the hospital and said try to avoid it as much as possible because it was pretty bad versus a regular cold or flu. Yes they emphasized it was pretty bad. Also as you might expect these people do not take care of their bodies in a healthy way either they are smokers , drinkers, hard partiers ect.

We have been very fortunate where I live - never had many cases….
Less than 100 at its peak - population of 50,000.

But we still have the same rules as the larger cities in the Province.

Not whining at all. Many are feeling as you do.

The virus will be over and you and your husband will travel.

I miss traveling so much. I just want to see my mom. She is in a nursing home in a major hotspot and no visitors allowed. And I couldn't/wouldn't fly there right now anyway.

Its not a bad swim... In the summer the water temps are bearable you wont get hypothermia right away.
