orbitingaround,
I understand your disgust with doctors and their willful refusal to evaluate data and research for themselves and use logic in the process. I don’t think it’s fair to be harsh on the OP or anyone else who is trying to understand the truth about
Lyme.
Eddie,
I
opened the article and attempted to read it all the way through, but I just couldn’t get through it. I will explain why. The article is not based on scientific research. It is based on the biased opinions of the authors, one of whom is Gary Wormser. Wormser is despised and detested in the Lyme community.
A lawsuit was filed against him, others, and the IDSA (Infectious Disease Society of America). I found a copy of the case document here:
https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/lymedisease.pdf. Recently something happened with the case, but I can’t recall the details.
Basically, I would judge that article as deliberate disinformation regarding Lyme disease. This has been going on for decades. It’s not new.
A couple of years back, someone posted a link to all the Lyme research studies that have been done over the years. Many of those papers disprove the statements perpetuated by the IDSA but continue to be disregarded and discredited by the IDSA.
If you feel the need to understand all this before pursuing treatment, then I recommend the following:
- read Congressman’s push for investigative probe into the origin of Lyme
https://chrissmith.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?documentid=406006 (this should be even more interesting in light of the current pandemic and its origin)
- watch the documentary “Under Our Skin”
- read articles from here; there are many pages here
