Went to the ER last night with some leg pain. They know I'm on a ton of ABX for babs. And lyme. They prescribed me a 10 day run of Bactrim. I am already taking so many abx. Clindymycin , malarone, Biaxin, Ceftin, and minocycline. I developed some cellulitis in my leg. Idk how when I'm already on so much. I may drop some abx I afraid of my liver. But do know that cellulitis can be bad. Any interaction with all those?

Maybe stop your lyme treatment for the ten days and focus on treating the cellulitis

A phone call to your llmd is warranted

possibly - i would mainly be concerned about overloading the liver and liver enzymes going high - but more from your existing regime than the addition of just 10 days of another abx

i would hope your LLMD is already testing LFT regularly - if not i would recommend getting Liver function tested each 3-4weeks while on that large a combo

Yes, had them done three weeks ago and scheduled again on the 20th. I called and she left a message to add the Bactrim and I will see her on the 20th. How much milk thistle should I take? How in the heck did I get cellulitis when already on a large protocol? I want to keep.going with the minocycline because that improved my brain alot

i think buhner suggests 1200mg a day of standardised milk thistle extract
horowitz also suggests NAC and Alpha lipoic acid to help support liver when on ABX

bactrim hit me hard , i had mild sjs and sulfa induced vasculitis from 10 day course . if you experience red dots or burning stop and seek help . see briandeer.com for more info
