Which sauna did you use?
To be honest, I don't know much about
it. During lockdown I looked for ways to do sauna. Public ones were closed and renting private ones was just took expensive in the long term.
So I found a second hand one nearby which was affordable (I was really lucky with that!), got some help to pick it up and now I have it at home. It's as easy as plugging it in, I don't add any water or do anything else.
I believe it's infrared, here's a picture I found online of a very similar one:

It heats up in about
30 minutes, I get in when it's at 40ºc and sit for 13 to 15 minutes, sometimes a bit longer. It reaches 45 and I turn it off. The head is supposed to stay out in this model, but after a few times, I managed to sit fully inside, with a blanket covering the hole, as it's really important that the head also goes through the process*.
*Note: I don't recommend anyone doing this. This is my own experience, tested slowly and only doing what felt comfortable. It might be dangerous for some.
