Has anyone here received the covid Pfizer vaccine while on antibiotics?

I want to get the two dose Pfizer vaccine for covid, but I'm treating bartonella with antibiotics and I'm scared. Currently i'm taking rifampin 300mg x2 a day and azithromycin 500 mg once a day.

I had covid in August, but I wasn't on antibiotics back then. So far, the illness lasted for 5 days, I had a little bit of chest pain, a fever of 99° f (37.2 °c) for 3 days and a sore throat with cough. I also was spitting mucus with blood, I think covid causes injury to the mucosal linings Everything went away except for the cough, which lasted for a whole month. I was coughing a lot for 30 days.

Now I went and got my first Pfizer shot and everything was fine, however I wasn't on antibiotics two weeks ago when I got it. Today I started the rifampin and azithromycin because I can no longer wait and tolerate Bartonella, I have a lot of psych and neuro stuff.

Will getting the 2nd Pfizer shot while being on antibiotics predispose me to more severe side effects like myocarditis or clots? Should I even get the 2nd shot? And is it safe to take antibiotics with vaccines in general?

Mu, lambda and other variants are coming. Aren't you all concerned about those? Is there proof that natural infection is protective against variants?

My husband had covid (not tested but were pretty sure) and he got the vax.

Can you stop the abx for a day ahead, day of and the day after the shot?

What vax he got, did he get 2 doses, how long after covid did he get the shot, why are you suggesting to stop abx for several days, what is the basis for that? How old is your husband?

There is probably an existing thread regarding this...for those who have LLMDs are they suggesting to get the vaccine rather than not? Just trying to get a consensus. Thanks!

I have never read anything that said natural immunity is not protective. Its too bad you have to go through getting sick to get natural immunity.

He got both pfizer shots.
I think first was in February and second was in May.

He got Covid in 2020 - I think it was March of that year.

He is not young - over 50

Yes - approx 3 months. He was considered a front line worker and was offered it early on.

I also work in health care and was offered it early on - but I held off as long as possible… I finally got it because I wouldn’t have been able to work without it.

Old thread, but I just went through this and my health provider advised to take the vaccine away from antibiotics. There isn't any evidence that I'm aware of that would connect antibiotics to an increased risk in the known side effects from the vaccine, however, for Lyme patients antibiotics kill bugs which causes inflammation. The vaccine also causes inflammation due to the immune response it triggers. No reason to overburden the body with inflammation if it can be avoided.
