has anyone been re-tested for lyme?

Hi,
I'm just wondering if has anyone been re-tested for lyme?
I know I still have it, but sometimes I wonder if I've just got the fallout from it, the after effects from the initial infection.

is it worth getting re-tested?

I got bitten summer 2018, got ill xmas day 2019, and got diagnosed feb 2019 I was lucky in that, but too late to get a quick cure. but progress is happening. I just did my first long distance cycle ride last weekend since getting ill - 60 miles over a long weekend. something magical happens when I do long distance. Funnily, I find daily life more exhausting. I expect to be tired on a long distance, but it gives me so much energy.

I also wonder about food in this respect.
I've been doing AIP for 1.5 years, not planning it forever, probably another 6 months and occasionally I eat things from the re-intro groups.

agreed - unfortunately, there are no tests available to date that can prove the organism has been eradicated from the human body

Lyme was initially diagnosed via antibody tests. After a year of antibiotics, I suspected that I had not eliminated the infection. I then had a PCR test which confirmed that the bacteria were still present.

PCR tests are expensive and can yield false negatives. A much simpler thing to do is to pulse antibiotics and measure the Herxheimer reaction. Lyme herx would very consistently cause my neutrophil counts to go up a CBC. This is a very cheap blood test that my doctor would order regularly.

I similarly found that Bartonella herx would increase bilirubin and vitamin B6. Note that the B6 test is not part of the standard panels and must be requested separately.

I remember those videos that you made bluelyme, they were really great. Although not so great that you had the infections of course.
