basically the Cohen foundation has agreed to fund Ed Breitschwerdt and Ricardo Maggi and their team to find suitable new anti-bartonella drugs for both humans and animals

these are some of the smartest people in the bartonella field - so it really does seem promising - even if it could take a few years to make it down the pipe

They want to find a new drug that works better than anything already known. Perhaps they can come up with something really novel, but it's going to be difficult. I wish them luck, but it's kind of a long shot.

We actually do know what kills bart. The problems are, first, that the most effective drugs tend to have bad side effects, and second, that completely eliminating the infection requires certain combinations of drugs, and the synergistic effects of these are poorly understood.

my understanding is they are using lessons from cancer research to target bart only genes to produce a new antibiotic that impacts bart without lots of adverse effect on human cells

that is very much in money.
i did calculate. but not good with the math.
my wife say that m means million.
and then i see article and it is correct.
that mean it is:
4,800,000 in the American dollars.
but it is for research. and i hope they say: yes now we have cure.

Yes. 4.8million USD.

it sounds like alot but in reality its just enough to run a small team maybe 4-6 people and a lab for 3-4 years.

I am optimistic however as these people are already front runners in bartonella research so have the best possible stepping off point.

and bartonella, it is in the book of buhner. but it is a different book also. buhner book 2.
my friend, he say a blue salt sometimes good for the bartonella.
it is very blue. sorry i dont know the name.
but did u know !! if you have a tropical fish. the blue it used for fungal. so it make very healthy fish.

i think you are referring to a drug called Methylene Blue

it was the first synthetic antibiotic ever made ( originally for malaria ) - but recent studies have indeed found it to be effective for killing bartonella - especially when used in combination with other bartonella drugs
typically from the following groups - macrolides, rifampicins, or ciprofloxacin ( ref work of Ying Zhang )
several LLMD's are incorporating it into their bartonella protocols - eg Dr MR in seattle
others are cautious due to some toxicity studies in lab animals in long term use
