Pain swelling on one side of body vision loss and cognitive decline

I hear you, I believe you and I've lived what you are living - and I'm healed. I still have plenty of medical issues, especially this year, as something new cropped up - but I no longer have active infections. The last few years, I was living my life as I wished - not constrained by pain or other symptoms that I had lived with for much of my life.

A really quick tidbit about my story - I was infected at age 7, first diagnosed at age 42 (maybe? I think? My memory isn't what it should be, but it's working!) and I lived with those types of symptoms you posted about for much of my life. I couldn't tolerate antibiotic treatment and had to use herbals to heal - not once, but twice now. I was reinfected yet again earlier this year, had a bulls eye rash (my first!!) and was able to get the proper antibiotic treatment within days (thanks to a wonderful nurse-practitioner that I now use).

The doctors in my area turned me away for years as well. They just wanted me to leave them alone, even if it meant my death. So I know that feeling as well. It's horrid.

Christine - Hang in there and hang on! I can assure you many on this forum have felt the same as you, and some do now. Myself included.

There are very knowledgeable people here. Traveler answering you provides you one heck of an experienced person. But somehow believing you can get better is critical, and not easy. Others have said the same thing, but I wanted to support. There was a time before Lyme was diagnosed the doctors were considering every kind of bad disease, but once Lyme was diagnosed, I did get a lot better for a long time. And I've been there, mentally, where you are.

Finding an answer is hard, but has been done over and over and over. Getting through the rough times is not easy, but it is doable.

Christine I don’t have a personal story to share but just to give you hope, there was a guy in my local group who was so sick even under the care of an llmd he kept ending up in the hospital and according to his mother had his last rites read to him so many times. Anyways, he switched to dr j and last I heard of him he was recovered even started working as a fireman with all the strenuous training that involves.

Another story from my local group, there was a girl who was so sick she was using an epipen every day and she was screaming in pain so much apparently the cops were called several times by the neighbors. She went to dr j as well as every other Lyme doc and couldn’t get well. Eventually she got better using the Ampcoil. I’m not saying everyone get better, but there are people who do get better.

Christine please don't give up.
Maybe you feel alone and hopeless right now.
And I really do understand.

But please know: you are not alone.

And think about this: there are people that you haven't even met yet, who will love you too.
People waiting to meet you in your future.
If you give up, you will never meet them.

Because life is not over yet.

So many things can still happen.
So many people you can still meet.
So many possibilities.

So many ways to heal !!

You can heal !!

Life can turn around in a second.
Yes, it turned around bad this time. Very fast.
But it can also turn around good, just as fast.

Sometimes things change in just a day. For the better.
