Help with IGeniX test results

I have recently completed two separate tests through iGenix. First, being the Lyme western blot, which came back with band 41 present, and band 39 indeterminate. (A negative test result).
Because band 39 was indeterminate, I was advised to do a second test called a broad coverage TBRF Ab assay. (Borreliosis - relapsing fever borrelia).
This test came back POSITIVE. The igenix results for this test doesn't contain any band identifiers, or any other info other than just being positive or negative, so I am trying to find out what this acually means.
Has anyone here had this same test, or have any clarification on it? I'm wondering if it's just another thing like band 41, which can be many things other than lyme.

I do understand that band 39 is lyme specific, but what I don't understand is what the broad coverage TBRF Ab assay test is actually looking for, as it doesn't specify any bands. Just positive or negative.

Are you familiar with this specific test?

It was ordered by my doctor after the western blot showed the results it did. Igenix supposedly reccomends the further testing if an indeterminate is found on certain bands. It says so right on the lab results.

My problem is that I don't know what type of test the broad coverage TBRF is, or what it's looking for. My doctor didn't know either, and was going to seek further clarification from igenix. I have looked through igenix online information with no luck.

Was your igenix WB considered a positive with band 41 positive and band 39 indeterminate?

Huh. That’s interesting. I had the exact same results on the Igenex WB. I only did one test with them. Who advised you to do the broad coverage TBRF Ab assay and why? Does TBRF have anything to do with band 39 or 41?

I believe Running Wild recently tested positive for TBRF. He and I are both in GA.

They do describe the TBRF BCA test on thier website.

Its a simple antibody test. Not a blot. So just gives positive / negative.

The do claim a 98% specificity - so that means they think there is only a 2% chance of having a false positive.

Which is i think the information you were looking for.
