Myasthenia gravis or eye/neuro from lyme

Do his eyes happen to roll up? Kind of like in the horror movies (sorry I can't think of a better example).

That's what happened to me when my Lyme was at my worst.

I mean the eyeball itself, not the parts around it like the eyelid.

Did they test him for both the AChR and MuSK antibodies? Sometimes they dont run the MuSK. What treatments has he tried?

You'd really need to try rituxan (AChR), Soliris (MuSK) and IVIG (effective against both) before you can determine he doesnt have it.

There's a new wonderdrug, Efgartigimod, which is just coming out that really knocks MG into remission.

I don't, just very knowledgeable about AI disease. He's probably on mestinon.

I'd get the musk antibodies checked if they weren't. You can also be seronegative. This is a tough one because the eye droopiness and double vision are pretty clear signs of MG, but they can also be seen in lyme. But I feel like you'd see other symptoms.

If its MG Rituxan or Soliris should be tried. There's a neurologist in nyc, thomas pitts, who is really knowledgeable about MG, he specializes in it and has done some clinical trials, one of the foremost experts. Hes kind of a goof and his office is a bit disorganized, but i found him to be very sharp about autoimmune in general.
