UPDATE 2:
I have noticed a strange phenomenon since getting this illness. My oxygen levels have been consistently higher than normal. My normal can be anywhere from 95-98. It has consistently been 98-100.
Additionally, my breathing has felt much deeper at times. For years, I have felt l have constricted breathing, like something (either chest, lungs, or airway in addition to my nose) is constricted somehow and won’t fully expand.
The first time I took a migraine pill (forgot the drug name - was old drug similar to Imitrex), my nose
opened up tremendously. It was very brief but dramatic. I could only conclude that it was related to the drug being a vasoconstrictor.
I just did a search for “COVID vasoconstrictor,” and found that is what killing people with hypoxia (low O2 concentration but without trouble breathing).
This abstract says:
“ There have been limited cases linking SARS-CoV-2 infection with the development of reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS). We hereby report a rare case of RCVS in the setting of mild SARS-CoV-2 respiratory infection successfully treated with nimodipine and aspirin. SARS-CoV-2 attacks the ACE2-receptors, which are expressed in various body organs including the lungs, kidneys, and blood vessels. Vasoconstriction can result from down-regulation of the ACE2-receptors that can lead to sympathetic hypertonia of the cerebral blood vessel walls and/or over-activation of the renin-angiotensin axis.”

Can any if you good science folks help me understand:
1) why a vasoconstrictor migraine pill caused me to breathe better than a newborn babe
2) why this potentially COVID virus is both raising my oxygen levels and noticeably enhancing my breathing capacities?
3) what any of this has to do with my inability to breathe normally for years (possibly decades). Does Lyme or Bartonella have any part, or is this just an unrelated anomaly?
