I need answers to my health and can’t seem to find them.
I’ve had debilitating brain fog for nearly 12 years. I literally woke up one morning and my life was changed and hasn’t been the same since. I was up late the night before drinking energy drinks and beer and wonder if I messed up my brain but maybe not since I’ve been to countless doctors and my blood work is always fine.
Symptoms include: feeling disconnected and spaced out, difficulty concentrating and focusing, poor memory, speech not as fluent, light sensitivity, tired all the time, poor sleep - I’m just not myself anymore and mentally a different person. My symptoms are strictly mental and not physical as I’m able to still occasionally workout and do things. I don’t have physical pain.
You could have lyme or not have lyme. You won't know until you get tested by a reputable lab such as IgeneX as others suggested. Find a reputable LLMD (lyme literate medical doctor) who will take a blood sample to get tested.
When I was a drinking alcoholic I had the same symptoms that you listed. I finally had enough and quit drinking and went to AA meetings. My last drink was 36 years ago.
Build-up stress by itself can bring out lyme symptoms as well as other chronic illnesses.
I hope you feel better,
Denise
