Yup, covid absolutely makes neuropathy worse. If you join the FB group you will lots of stories of people who got neuropathy after COVID, or who had neuropathy and it triggered a neuropathy flare that last weeks to months. Try to stay calm. Lets hope the podiatrist can hook you up w/ a helpful neurologist

So great of all of you to respond so quickly. I'm not panicked, like I used to get. It's more of a weary feeling of dealing with unknowns, as we all have.

Bailey - No monoclonal antibodies. Just got tested and out the door.

Rainy - The tingling happens some during the day but it's more of a cold feeling in hands and feet during day. Last night it was pain, and I usually take pain well.

dcd- I'm with you on the podiatrist. They are very good and know the best around here, so I trust them. The problem is the appointment is tomorrow and if I still have symptoms, I don't know if I can go. This is a weird kind of fatigue. It's not as mental as it is muscle fatigue.

garzie - Those symptoms you mentioned are many of ones I have had. But no sinus issues or cough. I did start doing the nasty nasal rinse with salt. Maybe that has helped.

Definite inflammation - the type you can feel. No breathing issues. When you tried to sleep, was it like it wasn't possible? That was a strange feeling last night. Totally wired yet fatigued.

Yesterday morning, I thought this was going to pass, but by evening it came back in. I'm not worried about COVID as much as I am the neuropathy and find a way to get rid of it. I started treating for Bart again today, and maybe doctors can come up with some answers on the other stuff.

rw I know this is not of much help but they sell these thin gloves now that have some sort of coating so you can keep using your phone and devices.

It helps me when I have cold hands and don't want to just sit around doing nothing with big gloves on. Keeps my hands warm. Although it's rare I have cold hands.

COVID definitely messed with my circulation. At times my arm felt like I slept on it. It took a few weeks to go away.

I treated the covid with atovaquone and ivermectin. Although I felt better after a couple days, it took quite a while to completely get rid of it.

COVID can do all sorts of things - dysautonomia, chills, chilblains, vascular issues of all kinds, neuropathy, symptoms that come and go, brain fog, etc. - even to people without chronic illnesses. That exhausted-but-wired feeling with fevers happens to a lot of people. I wouldn't worry about your symptoms being permanent for another week or more, at least. Expect your systems to act weirdly for a while, and don't be alarmed if it takes you longer than average to recover. For now, focus on sending your system chill vibes so that the stress won't make things worse. (I know that's SO much easier said than done!) Hydrate, rest, isolate, and try to increase antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, glutathione) and cytokine reducing supplements (quercetin, curcumin).

Thanks, saraeli. The odd thing, and maybe you've experienced this, is all symptoms get much worse when I am in bed at night. It's been documented fever gets higher at night, but it really seems to jump with other symptoms, such as body pain, neuropathy, tight muscles, while sleeping or tying to sleep.

In this case, I'm not panicking or getting the "doomsday" feeling, but it is more frustration with another health symptom. Also, we started official track practice yesterday, but I won't be there for a while, it appears.

maybe it's a god sign, but I have had a little bit of runny nose today and mild cough, which could mean body is trying to clear itself.

Garzie - I looked at the link you sent. Thanks. As it looks like you were anticipating, kidneys get in the way again. If you look up "ivermectin kidney disease," you'll see what I mean. I know it's like beating a dead horse always mentioning the kidneys. But treating it as I have, they really haven't gotten much worse in almost 10 years.

Quin - You just hit the bottom line for me with this - peeing. All night I pee. Seems like every 3-45 minutes. I believe it's my body trying to rid itself of what ails it, whether it's Lyme or COVID. That's interesting about your MPV. I'll have to watch to see how that plays out.

Garzie - Good idea about glutathione. Didn't think of that. I have upped vitamin D as I take in daily anyway. Also have added back in oil of oregano, temporarily, as I've rad it's good for COVID.

Did you start work on your car yet?

Not sure where you live, but much of the US does not have access to molnupiravir, monoclonal antibodies, or any of the other pharmacological treatments for COVID aside from vaccines. My primary care doctor's practice just emailed all of its thousands of patients not to call them if you have COVID, not to call them for anything else unless it's life-threatening, not to call them at all if you can help it because the wait will be an hour or more due to illness-related staffing shortages, and not to go to the ER because you're all but guaranteed to get COVID there or pass it to someone else. I live in an area with plenty of doctors, hospitals, funding, and resources, and still I have no medical options, whether my emergency is COVID or anything else. Pretty scary situation. So if I need antibodies, then I will be relying on the ones my body made following vaccination!

I hope many of you have better access to treatment and preventive measures!
