Lyme Guy,
I did Buhner’s protocols and tried to include something to cover all 3 B’s. I built a protocol based on the assumption that bartonella was my main infection.
I started with Japanese knotweed, Chinese skullcap/danshen combo, and cat’s claw. I then added Gouteng (Chinese cat’s claw). Then houttuynia and then sida acuta.
I never took andrographis, as I was afraid of getting hives. If you get hives, skin itching, rash or something similar, then drop the andrographis.
These are what I would consider the main herbs:
Lyme - knotweed, cat’s claw
Bartonella - knotweed, houttuynia, sida acuta
Babesia - sida acuta, artemesia, cryptolepis
Immune modulation - Chinese skullcap, danshen (red sage)
I took a number of other herbs at some point - ashwaganda, hawthorn, milk thistle, rhodiola, bidens pilosa, isatis, alchornea, Chinese cat’s claw, lion’s mane, red root, cordyceps. Probably more I’m not remembering.
It was very overwhelming to start, but well worth the effort. The hardest part was deciding what to start with and ordering the herbs. Once I started using them, I got more comfortable and kept going. There were many here using Buhner’s at that time, and they were a lot of help.
