*Update* on booster

Alittle late but I received my booster 3 weeks ago.

Felt like a truck hit me the next day, very sick and in bed for 2 days with temp and chills, arm hurt like **** ( luckily it was the weekend so I did not miss work ) After those 2 days I was fine!

Yes, I was on the fence about getting the booster but just as I expected the following week we were notified it was mandatory to receive it by March 15th.

That is your right and choice. I chose not to do that. The following is long but this my background/story on why I did it.

I was on disability for over 10 years. I scratched and clawed my way through college, to finally graduate in a good program after dropping out semester after semester, changing majors, getting kicked out of programs because I couldn't keep up, passing a rough certification exam and several months of applying finally finding an entry level job.

I wont let Lyme disease and fear of a vaccine control me and dictate my life.

My job/career is my "antidepressant". I refuse to leave or be afraid of working in the healthcare sector because of vaccines too. Its the only positive thing going in my life and I feel a great sense of normalcy when I am there. In life you have to choose your battles. Healthcare jobs aren't just the only places of business requiring the vaccine, its so many others including schools and colleges. Lyme Disease took enough from me and I am still absolutely not where I want to be but I believe I will get there.

Do I agree with the mandate? NO! It angers me so much that it came to this, vaccine passports now? Come on! Pretty soon will a booster not be enough? I know some personally in the medical community who are against such mandates. Also, I want to be able to go to a concert, a ball game, eat in a restaurant, travel, further my career and maybe go back to school. I know a couple and the wife got sick after her first dose, 9 months later is still sick and a "mainstream" doctor even agreed that the shot did something, after hearing that both refused to get their second dose, yes both have a history of Lyme. Recently this couple went to a comedy show and both were denied entry because they weren't fully vaxxed. A lady I work with her 11 year old son was denied entry into a Christmas show because he wasn't vaxxed. How infuriating is that???

I decided to take the "jab" for other reasons as well and felt at the end of the day it was in my best interest. My current LLMD gave me the green light however it was still something I was cautious about.

Wont deny I was very worried early on during the pandemic with the Covid vaccines, as I had a bad experience with a vaccine a few years ago that threw my lyme into over- drive as has happened to many of us. This kept me up at night. Thank you Jesus I've been fine with both Covid doses and booster (no really I truly thank him because I prayed I would be ok and I was). I took many precautions before too and detox methods before and after as well.

I know its hard to tell by a person's text.

But that's usually the response I give to people when they ask why I decided to get it. I know for many it's a gamble, especially in the Lyme community. It stinks I know.

Even if it wasn't mandated at my job, to be honest, I'd probably still would get it anyway
