Just talked to Mary R, and got some super useful notes. Man she's good! Scrapping most of my gameplan for the time being on her rec.
NOTES:*She felt that if I dont completely heal in 6m, that I likely have a parasite or heavy metal problem or both. She mentioned this wo my leading her, which is interesting because those are the two things I'm exploring
*She thinks that its wayyyyy too early for me to treat metals or lyme. She says that people go to the "killings thigns approach" way too quickly, and that in her experience you need to heal the immune system by shifting the microbiome before you can treat either of these. Microbiome starts to shift in a few months, so i'm well under way
*She confirmed my belief that methyfolate and methylation are a problem when yorue too toxic. Too early to be supplementing with any of these
*She says that shifting nutrition and cutting out processed junk begins the detox process, in a much gentler way. She thinks thats one reason why keto is so benefiical for epilepsy, seizures are a result of toxins. And its the same thing with me
*Also thinks keto is so healing because it shifts the microbiome. Says this idea that fiber is automatically good is missing the point. It's great for healthy people, not so much for super sick people. We need to limit overgrowth. It also stabilizes blood sugar and glutamate levels. It calms the system. Reduces the toxic load, etc
*She confirmed my belief that the buzzing sensation is excitatory. She was ok with and likes my trying ketamine for it, and has seen it help in this situation
*She thinks any candida problem is secondary and will fix itself, no need to treat
*She thinks i have low levels of e coli bacteria, which means there's nothing to limit lactic acid producing bacteria. This is sharp because i checked my GI maps from jan 2019 and it did show super low levels of ecoli. This is why she loved Nissle (Mutaflor) for me. One of the few probioitcs that will actually colonize. Says lactobicillus probiotics wouldnt be good for me, and that probiotic supplementation is more nuanced than good strain or bad strain
*Wants me on ketogenic diet for another 3-6m before we think about
treating metals. Says that meat broth is my "medicine" and i need to be drinking large amounts. Fats are healing for the nervous system
*Wanted me on b6 and ala because she's found it really helps neuropathy. Recommended I read Dr Titlebaum's "Pain Free 123".
*Says that I'm suddenly getting hives since being on this diet because shifting the microbiome releases histamine. Its completley normal and nothing to freak out about
. Said rotating nostril breakthing will promote calm and reduce histamine levels. Recommendd readin the book "Breathe" and "The Circadian Code".
*Says that the reason I felt sluggish and like my body didnt like the soups after 4w isnt because i was full on those amino acids like i had speculated. It's due to die-off. Means i'm on the right track. When your body rejects amino acids its normally affects you mentallly, you get agitated and low appetite. It means your body craves something else, and you can swtich diet at that point. Thats not whats happening with me.
Action plan:
*Need 3-6m more of keto before we start treating any toxins. Says the neuropathy will slowly go away, and then we can start treating these toxins when my body is stronger
*Need to be more diligent about
eating meat broth. 2-4 cups/day, its my medicine
*Nissle 1917 will heal my stomach, but i cant handle it yet. in 3-6m i can
*Ketamine infusions will probably benefit my pain, likes the idea
*Adding in p5p (b6) and ALA will help, but i may not be ready for them yet since i could be mercury toxic and cant handle methylation. Explore when i'm stronger>
