Question about Reactivated Epstein Barr/Detoxing

I just found out yesterday that EB was reactivated from having Covid in December. My LLMD put me on a vitamin protocol (D, B, C, Iron, Zinc, etc), along with Byron White A-EB/H6, Viru-Chord, and Bacteria-Chord. She said Lyme is not a concern right now but may flare up due to the treatment. She also said that I may herx from the herbals and just cut back until I feel better.

My question is, though, do I still detox with this protocol or do I wait and see how I feel? She said I have to build my immune system back up but never mentioned detoxing (and I forgot to ask lol.) I imagine that binders would affect the vitamins/herbals, but do other detox methods interfere with vitamin absorption? Doesn't it seem counterproductive to take so many vitamins and then detox heavily? Anyone else have experience with this?

i only ask because we had a rather in depth discussion on that topic not long ago where it emerged that EBV serology cross reacts with Lyme - creating false positives of either

EBV Early Antigen D AB (IGG) was >150 (high)
EBV Viral Capsid AG (IGG) was >750 (high)
EBV Nuclear AG (IGG) was 209 (high)
EBV Capsid AG (IGM) was negative
Lyme test only showed bands 44 and 61

The diagnosis seemed to make sense to me being that the EBV numbers tripled since my labwork from less than a year ago. I'm going to search for the previous discussion now!

Since I began testing EBV early antigen in 2017, my Early Antigen level has been 55 (which is high and indicates active infection) every time I was tested. This past year, post covid, my level tested over 150, same as yours which is for sure tripled and likely higher as it is over the reference range. Just an interesting data point. I don't have long covid symptoms that I know of, but my acute sense of smell and taste improved some has never recovered fully.

From what I have read, yes, you should detox as virus is shedding dead material and vitamins will support your body as well as detoxification.
