Disulfiram Response

as i understand it tablets are normally 200mg each and typical dose for lyme is 375 to 500mg per day

most people with lyme report v strong reactions while on the drug - especially during the ramp up phase and then the whole time while they remain on it - so it would certainly tend to cast doubt on the Lyme diagnosis - but i am not well versed enough to know if for some people have no/or low reactions - as there are for some with general herx like effects and other abx drugs

perhaps ask on one of the disulfiram groups on facebook - as there will be more people there who use it and it will be more clear if there are exceptions to the herx effect

I started at 125mg for a week then 250 for week 2. Up to 375mg for about 10 days. And now I'm at 500mg been about 2 weeks. No real changes so far maybe a little more tired but I think that may be due to trying a carnivore diet the last few days. No carbs.

How long have you been on DSF? With an active infection I would expect some sort of response. For me, the first 7 days or so was a honeymoon phase. After that I herxed terribly.

Ah about 10 days? No issues so far, doing 2 tabs/500mg a day.

Assuming I don’t run into any problems I think I’m gonna do 750mg a day for ~2 months just to check the box and give myself some peace of mind that Lyme is gone

Disulfiram is a long acting drug. Elimination half-life is 60-120 hours. Daily dosing will cause a build-up over time. You won't feel the effects right away. I believe most doctors wouldn't recommend increasing dosing until after 10-14 days without any issues. You might want to consider if you are moving up too fast. Additionally, the faster you move up to high doses the more likely you will run into the drug's side effects.

wow you're ramping up way to fast. I would wait 2-3 weeks between dosages.

If you don't get any reaction within a month to six weeks, you either don't have lyme or (unlikely) your body is able to disolve disulfiram before it can hit anything.
