Went for my booster at a pharmacy yesterday.
Within a few hours I had a fever and could not lift my arm. Lots of pain with it.
Hardly slept last night.

I took acetaminophen today and the fever eventually subsided.

It actually felt like some of my bad herxes from a few years ago.

I don’t think I will work tomorrow. I emailed the supervisor - haven’t checked if she replied.

Anyone else have a bad reaction to the booster?

I had pfizer (first two were Moderna)

I had the Pfizer and those are the most common things expected and it usually only lasts 1-2 days.

Yes! Both regular doses of Phizer I was fine but when I got my booster in January definitely felt awful. I was in bed for 2 days with horrible body aches and chills, temp of almost 101 and I soaked my bedsheets. This is why I always schedule the vaccines at the end of week incase I react I have weekend to rest. I was fine once Monday rolled around thankgod!

I hope the passes quickly Girlie and you recover by tomorrow. I can't comment on Pfizer since I have refused to get this experimental jab, regardless of my age and chronic conditions.

BTW: I took your past advise and have added Rifabutin to my regime for the past four months to combat my relapse due to recent surgery. No noticeable changes, and at $100 per month I'll swop it out next week and try Cipro again.

That's very much within the realm of normal for COVID vaccine side effects. They should pass in a day or two. I know it's miserable, though! Some people don't have side effects, so it feels like you lost a crappy lottery when you're the one who has a brutal fever and other symptoms! That's how it was for me with every dose.

Thanks - feeling much better today. I guess I could have worked - missing out on 2 1/2 x pay (it’s a Super Stat)

I emailed my supervisor last night and she said because it is a super stat she won’t have a problem filling my shift.

I am feeling almost back to normal now

I held out - really didn’t want the jab - but I had to get it in order to keep my job.

I feel much better today - will just stay home today and snuggle my kitty.

I don’t regret calling in sick because my arm is still sore and my job has a lot of heavy lifting.
I don’t mind giving it up - will just take it easy - have a nap later with my 🐈‍⬛ Kitty

I've been in bad shape since complications in my prostate surgery last November thru December triggered a severe relapse. Thats why I've been quiet lately with nothing positive to add to the forum.

Need to regroup and get back on track. Don't want to hijack your thread.... more later

Girlie you're in healthcare too correct? We were mandated obviously. They were gonna mandate the booster too but at last minute said no. Very happy to hear you are feeling better! 😊

Yes I work in the kitchen in a long term care faculty.
I had to get the first and second jab or face termination.

Now we are planning to travel - a much needed vacation to Hawaii with our son and his girlfriend in May.
My son pleaded with me to get the booster and I caved.
(My son is a follow the rules kinda guy)

It’s weird because I didn’t get a fever from the first two Moderna jabs.

Had Covid booster #2 yesterday, April 18th. Silly pharmacist wrote June 6th as the date on my vaccine card!! Arm sore and I am very tired today. Thankfully I found they recorded the correct date in the digital records so I don't have to go back and talk to them again.

Yah - I was surprised I felt so tired and also the soreness.
But the fever was a little concerning.

Pretty much back to normal for a few days now .
