Walkingbyfaith….curious why will you use Japanese Knotweed for life? What co-infections did you endure? I’m new and currently being treated. Trying to learn more as I’m finding out this disease is a lifelong journey.
Buhner says it’s a good herb to take indefinitely. It protects the endothelium. Lyme and bartonella both affect the endothelium. There’s kind of an assumption that it’s nearly impossible to completely eradicate these infections. There are also other infections that affect the endothelium. If I am not mistaken, COVID does. Japanese knotweed is easy for me to tolerate, safe for long term use, and very affordable in powder form.
I have been unable or unwilling to treat full on with antibiotics for a number of reasons, so I remain on a maintenance protocol with herbs and experiment with other supplements or drugs that I suspect might be useful for me.
Just noticed I didn’t fully answer your question. I had a positive test from DNA Connexions for Lyme and Ehrlichia and have had signs of bartonella and possibly babesia since childhood.
