Herxing lyme rash or?

Is this a herxing lyme rash? Sorry about the hairy pits ( really I know its bad). I sent an email with this picture to my Llmd. Oddly enough when I use aluminum free deodorant my armpits do discolor a bit and I just started using it again but this looks extreme and is only on one side. I've been feeling awful for about a week now that's why I'm wondering if this is a herx rash? You probably can't see in the picture but at the bottom there's a random straie "line" I've never seen before

Sunflower1920- can’t see your pic. Bet it is from herxing. When I was on Disulfraim I got rash along ribs and under breasts. Wearing bra made worse. Coconut Oil helped a bit.

I can see the photo.

I think it could be caused by Lyme and CO’s.

I got several different rashes over the years while treating Lyme and co’s

I'm hoping it's not from the aluminum-free deodorant. Crazy I say that huh? At least with a herx rash I'd know I'm killing and hitting stuff which is a good thing. My llmd believes it's a rash too

Maybe one of the ingredients in the deodorant is something you are reacting to? My partner gets underarm irritation that looks like that when he uses certain deodorants, so we just had to try a few to find the ones that don't cause the issue. It's certainly possible that it's a part of a herx, but if you recently switched deodorants, then I would bet that's the cause.

Also, no body shame! smile Everyone has underarm hair, and you can do anything you like with it. smile

Haha I know but I really should shave lol... all joking aside though I'm just too tired. We've all been there though esp women. The weather here in Mass hasn't been nice, very unseasonably cool but starting today warm summer-like temps are coming (yay!) I guess I better grab that razor and get to work. smile

I zoomed in and looked all over the picture. There’s areas along the upper left and bottom margins of the big pink swath that looks like skin peeling. Were you aware of skin peeling occurring or not? Does it burn, hurt, or itch?

That looks like a possible allergic reaction to something. As for deodorant, I gave it up altogether years ago when I first started detoxing mold. My pits rarely exude any odor because I can’t seem to detox well there.

I could not see a straie line, only a thin white line on parts of the margins that appear to be skin peeling.

What deodorant is it?

Hey WBF,

It's Dove deodorant. Turns out the " straie" was from part of my tank too rubbing, lol.

I sweat alot now and since using the aluminum free I do have alot of body pit odor. I never had this before. Too weird. Ugh. It's only when I wake up certainly NOT at work haha

I'm back in treatment and know sweating is needed for detox and obviously aluminum free deodorant should be better esp in Lyme treatment.

And no it doesn't burn, itch etc. I don't even know it's there until I look in mirror. Sorry neglected to mention that.

Tom’s a more natural brand. The last deodorant I used was one of their fragrance free deodorants (not antiperspirant). It worked fine. I just chose to stop using deodorant in hopes that I could detox better out of my armpits.

Lol the deodorant sure as heck ain't preventing me from sweating thats for sure.
