Under 40 males...COVID booster query

Obviously, I know this subject is politically and culturally charged. I'm not looking for debates. I'm simply looking at whether under 40 males have received a COVID booster or not and why did/didn't you make that decision? All opinions are welcome.

For context, I am a 35 year old male. Healthy weight, healthy diet, been active/exercising my entire life...beyond chronic tick disease no health issues I'm aware of. I have the original 2 doses. I don't believe I have had COVID yet. If I have it was mild and didn't register on my radar. I thought I had it earlier this year, but it was more likely a reaction to Rifabutin. Positivity rates are going up quite quickly in my area. I'd like to get boosted, but I am genuinely confused on the risk/reward ratio when considering boosters for young men and the possibility of myocarditis. I don't know if this is an irrational worry or not.

I’m interested in this as well - my son is in his late 20’s and he is very pro vax and won’t even consider NOT getting the booster.

Lymie24 - I am male and the exact same age as you.

I got the booster back in December because my parents are in their late 60s, concerned about COVID, and felt better about visiting in person over the holidays if everyone in the family got it.

My reaction to the booster shot was exactly the same as the second vaccine dose, about 48 hours of feeling off then back to baseline. As I may have posted here awhile back, one interesting thing of note is that my Lyme/Bart symptoms temporarily went into remission while I was having the immune reaction to the shot. I haven't noticed any long-term effects, either for better or for worse.

If you go back into his previous videos, myocarditis was one of the topics he covered many times.

His was one of a few channels that I watched for a long time. These days, I don't follow the topic on a regular basis. But, I still drop in every week or two to see what he's posting.

I'm not in your demographic either (I'm female), but I was just talking to my cardiologist, and she said that my recent episode of pericarditis was probably from the covid booster vaccine that I got in February.

I have not had many Lyme symptoms, and it was very annoying to be sidelined for months just as I was preparing to start running competitively.

That said, none of of the people I know have ever had trouble, although a few of my friends have obtained vaccine exemptions (how?) and haven't had any vaccines.

I've decided I'm going to get it. Looks like we are about to have another wave. It's been over a year since my 2nd dose. This dose should give me circulating antibodies throughout the meat of this wave. In addition, the booster further strengthens your long term memory cells response. In the past I've listened to experts talk about how long term memory cell response matures with time. The original 3-4 weeks between doses was probably too quick and spacing out the 1st and 2nd doses to around 12 weeks like the UK did would have provided better long term protection. The thinking was they needed to get people protected now and worry later about later.

I know there is a small chance of heart inflammation, but I think I've freaked myself out a bit compared to how tiny the chance actually is. Somebody has to win the lottery, but most don't smile.

The pfizer 'vaccine and Moderna 'vaccine use CRISPR cas9 technology. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.
