Does anyone look at old posts and see when the user joined and when they were last seen? And when they were last seen a few years ago it makes you hope they are out there enjoying there life and not coming back on here because they don't feel the need to. Idk it might just be me but I get happy when the last seen is years ago.

I always fear for the worst when they haven't posted in years... I like your outlook a lot better though.

Would be cool if we could have a "ping" option on the forum. Which, if you click it, a member would get an email or something. That way we can check in on old members.

Bro, One of the things that I love about my biomenetic pair therapist is that she is constantly sharing success stories with me. In fact at every session she tells me about a patient that was as L as I once was who fully recovered. This, almost trumps the therapy at South in terms of inspiration.

In addition, there are many options out there. If for some reason you don’t have the success you had hoped for with this therapy you have other options.

I am case in point. My practitioners daughter had to go to the magnets as well. Lots of options out there.

I can promise this entire forum that if I ever find something that works for me and gets me back to a functional level I will come back and announce how I did it. No way would I leave everyone here hanging after as long as I've been a member. That said, if I ever did find that success I would likely leave after I got better. Some things are better left in the past.

The shorter duration one has this, the better recovery. Some of the lymie long haulers get to 90% and that last part can take a few years, or longer - depending on how healthy one wants to be.

I've been at 90% cured for quite some time now. Yes I could just go away, but there is valuable info here that you never know will show up. Info that is easier to follow in the form of THREADS, which "facebook" does not have.

One hobby/sport association I belonged to which had many different threads on a forum, is now (like many) a facebook platform, and it sucks now. You cannot go back to the same subject (no threads).

i dislike teh FB platform also

it does have threads of sorts - but the platform is designed to keep people scrolling and keep them connected to FB - so its a lot less useful for people who want to have more formal or in depth discussion and debate. it works for 1 liners and thro away comments

it seems the platform is designed around people with / or encouraging people to have - v short attention spans - so if you post a question somewhere in say the 10 comment down - v few people read or reply

that and the fact that the algorithms it uses are designed to distort peoples view of the world as a by product of their drive for more growth/profit puts me off it all together

I also do this and think the same thing. My thought is when you feel better, then you don't visit this place as much. When I see a past poster who was in a rough spot at one point and then eventually doesn't show up here anymore, it gives me hope.
