I know this thread is about places in the USA but does anyone have experience and thoughts about mold in Mexico high desert areas like Mexico City or San Miquel de Allende?
Many Americans would move there if it were not for modern day safety reasons, crooked cops being payed off by the local cartel ect. You need to blend in there. If your naturally tanned with dark hair and understand some Spanish (myself), thats a good thing. If your the opposite- not a good thing. Just being honest here.
Ive been to many parts of Mexico during USA winters, the humidity was not to bad at all. But global warming will make it hotter there.
Mexico city has other air pollution problems since its surrounded by mountains. They still have high polluting cars/truck/busses that create smog - very stinky some days, hard on your lungs. I would guess high cancer rate from this too. City or not, its still a third world country, so pollution does not matter to them.
Mazatlan, similar to S. Cal. shoreline weather, has a gated US community within it, some year round, some seasonal time share ect, - most vehicle plates from US there say Cal, AZ and Texas on them. Its gated for a reason though. There is a getto there too - depressing to see the huts of the poor class.
Some might find my wording offensive, I'm just being honest with the Mexico stuff. .
There is a reason northern snowbirds (retires with $$) are seasonally mobile between the north and south- because there are very few places in US with good conditions year 'round.
