Do you normally use glutathione or IV Vit C?
If those are treatments you’re used to, they will be very useful for detoxing your body. If not, you could try it now and see how you do with them. If you tolerate them okay, you might want to start detoxing some ahead of time.
Be careful what you do right before surgery, though. You will likely need to stop a lot of herbs, supplements, or treatments days to weeks prior and not resume until the doctor gives the okay. Lots of things can affect blood. Many herbs and some supplements could thin the blood and cause risk of bleeding or affect coagulation and clotting.
If you use herbs and supplements regularly, I would try to have a discussion with the doctor well ahead of time. Some doctors will likely say stop everything, since they don’t know anything about
it and think it does nothing important anyway. (They’re wrong.). That could actually make things worse.
IMO, having your blood and clotting factors tested while you are taking your regular herbs and supplements is the best way to know if something is going to be a problem. Of course, you would still not be able to consume anything so many hours prior and after. I have no medical training, so all that is just my logical reasoning.
I am doing an internet search now to find some information. These are not websites that I am familiar with, so I can’t verify the accuracy of the information, but you might find this useful. There’s a lot of overlap among the articles, but they have some pieces of information that the others don’t mention.
