One major symptom has returned that I haven’t had in 2-3 years is some kind of panicky “terror” at night. It’s hard to describe. It’s not a panic attack, and you just get really aware of your breathing. I have seen people describe it well. If I didn’t know any better I would be in total panic afraid my brain broke. It’s like you are jolted up from sleep or as you are trying to sleep. It is scary but I am not anxious. It is accompanied sometimes by feeling really sick. I had it years back but it must have dissipated with treatment.
I feel this symptom could be a key to which infection is dominant.
I just wanted to say that you're not alone in this. I have this too. It's indeed very hard to describe but the "sometimes feeling really sick" part gives it away. And for me personally, the sick feeling only last for a few seconds.
It's like there's a jolt (like you said) with either falling asleep or while in sleep followed by this really strange feeling. And then the breathing.
I like the way you describe it, there's no anxiety but it's kind of similar feeling (in a way).
For what it's worth I don't have Babesia, but I do have Lyme + Bartonella.
I hope you feel better soon.
