I had the rib tightness along with trouble breathing and couldn’t stand up straight. Had asthma-like symptoms but tested negative for asthma and pulmonologist couldn’t find any problem with lungs. My chest wall felt stiff like it wouldn’t move and expand when I tried to breathe, leading to air hunger. Pulmonologist did give me a steroid inhaler for 1 month, and that helped about
85%. This was all before I knew I had Lyme or ever even heard of bartonella.
From what I recall reading in the past, rib tightness and stiffness in the chest wall can indicate bartonella, as others have said.
I used Buhner’s protocols and used Japanese knotweed, houttuynia, sida acuta, Chinese skullcap, bidens pilosa, and more. I would say the first 3 were the most strategic for bartonella. The first 2 reduced many symptoms over time. Unfortunately, I was very mold toxic and chemically sensitized during my treatment and had trouble identifying progress. TUDCA helped me a lot with sensitivities and toxic symptoms. Antifungals and antiparasitic drugs helped me feel better and less toxic, too.
