Eye pain and how to increase blood flow?

Hi everyone since having covid I have had pain in my right eye which also causes vision loss from time to time, it’s not total darkness it more blurry. Anyone know what this could be? Also I read that derealization which is my worst symptom can be caused by low blood flow to the brain, if you have any advice of treatment options for that please let me know. Thank you!

Have you seen an eye doctor yet about the eye? I would want to make sure the optic nerve isn't being affected (I'm freaked out about this since I had shingles) and rule out other conditions like central serous retinopathy (I'm freaked out about this because the vision loss can be permanent and I've had it for seven years). I don't mean ot worry you, just saying I know how unsettling symptoms are that threaten your vision!

When I think of blood flow to the brain, my first thought is ginkgo biloba.

Hope you find some relief very soon.

Thank you Saraeli, I am kind of freaking out too. I have an appointment with my neurologist on Friday to see what they think but I will also call my eye doctor thank you for that advice. I did notice my right eye did look smaller than the left not sure if that means anything. And the ginkgo is a great suggestion as well. Thank you, you always have great advice!

I got eye pain from covid. I took mepron and it went away.

agree with quin , or use iver for 6-8 weeks ...mangosteen, lutein or i used silver eye drops back in the day

Yes, long covid can be quite persistent and take many weeks to get rid of it. Nitazoxanide is another treatment option.

I found that the eye problem cleared up within a few hours, but it would come back if I didn't continue taking the meds.

Magnesium, luteolin, klonopin, bpc 157, amlexanox, licorice, lemon balm help my right vision eye. They all have extra effects depending on your sensitivities you have to choose one that works for you.

I forgot also chamomile. I guess I should list side effects that made me give up on a number of them the following caused mcas issues for me: luteolin, bpc 157, licorice, lemon balm. Chamomile gave me some brain inflammation. I know for many or most these issues don’t come up with any of the above list.

definitely see an eye doctor ASAP - it could be caused by any number of things - not only COVID or TBD -
and we cannot diagnose this online.

you really do not want to take chances with your eyesight

most things are treatable if diagnosed early - so that's the best course of action
if its nothing - there is nothing lost - if its something more serious early action is important

All Day Chemist or Reliable RX Pharmacy, and then crush or divide the pills, otherwise a compounding pharmacy.

i buy normal dose naltrexone from buy-pharma.md
then dissolve in 50ml of water - and dose via graduated 1ml syringe - 1ml = 1mg

its best not to think of LDN as a conventional medicine
its use has to be customised to every individual patient
the LDN trust states that people with auto-immune conditions/chronic lyme/CFS etc often have adverse reactions at first - and should start on lower doses and proceed to ramp up very gradually

many alternative docs and LLMD's do not seem to recognise this and just start people on a compounded dose

i had to start on VERY small doses - and increment in tiny steps - 1mg start dose and increment 0.01mg every few days - and i still got all over pain from it at times - its a very unusual substance.

Thank you everyone again for the help. I saw my neurologists today and they will be sending me for some test including a visual evoked response test has anyone ever had this done before or know what it might show?

acc to buhner
>Ginkgo leaf - esp in CNS
>hawthorn berry - all tissues - esp heart
>Japanese knotweed -

he also recommends Stephania for eye issues of all descriptions

Hi everyone just an update on me. I had an MRI which came back abdominal, the results were a 6.6 mm cysts on my pituitary gland. I need a second MRI but just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. Thank you.

Hi, yes I have this. I'm sorry to hear you have it too. I think the term they used for me is "pituitary adenoma". It causes all my hormones to be low, so I have to take them to keep them at normal levels. Hypopituitarism I believe is the official term for it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Sometimes something is found - and it really isn’t the cause of our symptoms.
Many of us have been screened for many different diseases to try and find the cause.

I had an mri of my brain to check out my pituitary and the results was that it deviated too the left - unknown significance

Then my imagination got a hold of me and I thought maybe there was a tumor pushing it to the left.

I believe the mri was ordered after I had very high cortisol after doing the 24 hour cortisol test.
I’m pretty sure after all this time I can rest assure it isn’t a tumor

This is very interesting, CLB! Thanks for the update.

Cysts on the pituitary gland can be asymptomatic but also can produce a huge array of symptoms. Issues we attribute to our adrenal glands, reproductive organs, thyroid, and other things all could trace back to a pituitary adenoma or other pituitary abnormality. For some things, treatment is very simple. What an important thing to find, potentially!

In terms of your eye, my conjecture would be that the cyst is either causing excess cortisol to be produced (giving you vision issues from central serous retinopathy, which a standard retinal scan would show) or that the cyst is pressing on your optic nerve.

Have you had your hysterectomy already? I wonder if the pituitary issue is responsible for the reproductive system issues, giving you an alternative way of addressing them.

Thank you all so much for the help! My hysterectomy is on 12/28. I am not sure if I will be able to get my pituitary mri before then but will ask my primary doctor what she thinks when I go for my pre surgery appointment. I was wondering about high cortisol as well. Is there any natural treatments for that. Thank you so much again for your help!

Was the 'high cortisol' on a blood test or a urine test?

Cortisol in your urine does not necessarily mean that your blood cortisol is consistently high. It could just mean that you're detoxing and pissing a lot of stuff out.
