Sorry u have no replies. Its always a task to figure out if a herx or just lyme being lyme. If u are treating, my guess is herx. There are so many ways to detox and get those dead buggers that are causing the pain out.

Keep treating until your symptoms are gone plus a few more weeks.
Don’t start and stop.
Ideally - get a LLMD to guide your treatment.
It’s still relatively early - now is the time to treat thoroughly

Lemon water is always good but honestly I had the best luck with alka seltzer gold. Idk why but it works.

Can a herx last a month? I am still taking it and still feel awful.

Wow now I'm really confused but I do have a question. On Wednesday I an getting a PICC line and 28 days of Ceftriaxone. I know people here are not doctors but I am looking for opinions only. Should I pulse it at 4 days on and 3 off or just do the full 28 days?

From what i read, pulsing allows them to come out of microcolony form and be exposed to antibiotic. When you go continuous they go into microcolony form and they are not touched by the antibiotic.

I wish I knew Garzie..........I know nothing in fact and that is why I am so damn scared. Every doc is different and this is like the wild wild west while I am getting sicker or herxing or whatever.

First appointments are usually only an hour and cost 500-1000 dollars. This whole field is a joke....totally. There is simply not enough cohesive data to draw any conclusions from. I am a data analyst and if I am blessed enough to find someone to help me, as I am quite ill, I am starting Tickbourne Theraputics, then later, The Tickborne illness Treatment Centers of America (7). There will also be a Lyme hospital for those who are seriously ill. I have worked out many of the particulars and feel this can be done. I just need help getting better so that I can help others.

Yes Garzie but please allow me to explain a bit about myself so you can understand where I am coming from with such lofty goals. I am a quantitative/mathematical analyst and I analyze economic and business systems for a living. I have started several businesses over the years and run one at this juncture. Economically, whenever there is quite a bit of uncertainty in a system, or if it takes a great deal of skill to produce an item, a profit above what is considered a normal profit can be obtained. For example:
Prior to the assembly line for autos, it took a very highly skilled engineer to build an entire car from scratch and a new car cost well over 100k in today's dollars. The assembly line simplified those processes dramatically and allowed for much greater efficiency in the system in turn allowing more people to buy a vehicle and the companies actually made more money.
Fast forward to today. We have a similar situation but add onto it desperate people who are incredibly ill. However, people can and do heal so it is not necessarily permanent. Sadly, these people (including me) will pay anything to get better and these two combinations make for an awful situation and one that invites many predators. It is one of the reasons that I question ILADS; many of those doctors are part of that system. A system that supports your battle but starves your victory. When people say that it is too complex and everyone is different I scoff. While some of that is true, the reality is that the system is not precise enough to see what people actually have. Testing is horribly limited and there is great likelihood that there are infections that have not even been identified yet. Also, there is no standard of care.....herbs.....oils......antibiotics......combinations..... who knows? Regardless, we must reduce this system to its simplest form and not get too caught up in its complexities. Tickborne Therapeutics will first offer a deliverable and efficacious product in the first 6-12 months. We have already identified neutraceutical compounds that look quite promising. Research withing the company will continue to fan out from the simple to more complex answering such questions of where the bacteria hide, how to they relate with the immune system and other co-infections, and how we can develop an interruptive product or treatment. As we progress, we may open treatment centers that takes advantage of the research and science-based solutions that we have discovered. Lastly, as some patients are so sick and many are simply unable to move, a Lyme hospital that provides more tailored care will be opened to treat those horribly affected by these ailments.
It all begins with Tickborne Therapeutics and a solid plan surrounding it. I do believe that I can raise the funding. Finding the personnel will be much more challenging but I still believe possible. The biggest inhibitor of all of this is my health. I cannot do much if I am so ill that I can only work a couple of hours per day. Simply put, I need someone to help me so that I can help many others. I have so many ideas, but I just need help, I am having trouble walking now some days. Hopefully, I heal and when I do I have the business structure all laid out and I already spoke with some potential investors. This is what I am seriously motivated to do and will work tirelessly to its completion.

Excellent question Garzie. So, at this juncture there are so many things to go after that it is literally impossible in terms of resources to address everything. We have to learn to kill these pathogens in the human body first, in an efficient manner of course, then move on to more detailed work. Testing is huge for at least two major reason: 1. Determine what infections one actually has and 2. Determine if the pathogen itself is actually being eliminated from the body from a particular treatment.
This process is quite difficult, and one could start an entire company based on tick borne testing alone. The technology is there however, and we may venture into this realm whether we do it ourselves or collaborate on a joint venture.

I hope to cross paths with you, that would be wonderful. I refuse to simply heal and move on with my life. I cannot do that and know that people are suffering who could be helped. Naturally, people suffer with chronic ailments. ALS is awful and almost always fatal. However ALS has a lot of unknowns which can take quite some time to learn. Lyme and coinfections are much more treatable but the treatments need to use much care. I fear that many doctors are making people much worse. While I know nothing about medicine I do know very much about data science. One thing I have noticed is that many doctors make poor scientists. They do not seem to have an analytical methodology. For instance, many have told me that babesia needs to be treated first. Ok why? Suppresses immunity……ok how? It does A,b,c,and d…….ok where are the studies? Well that’s just what I have seen.

Have seen? Peoples minds generate bias all the time. I see it every day. Goodness, I do not even trust my own mind. We are all biased, it’s in our nature. This is why we need objective research that can quickly deliver some tangible options.

I get a PICC line Wednesday for 28 days of 2 grams of ceftriaxone. I am worried about it and know it will likely be marginal at best. I am unsure whether to pulse or do straight. Difficult decision no doubt. However, if I recover to the point where I can work hard again I am going to start the company next month. I may headquarter it in Rhode Island but I am not sure on that yet.
