Hard truths here:
* Skepticism/Criticism isn't censorship.
*Being informed goes both ways. Evaluating a product and/or certain claims is not wrong.
* Sometimes people become attached to a doctor/treatment/product and feel personally attacked when the aforementioned things are questioned. This not the way to get closer to the truth. This is the way to dogma and protecting feelings. When it comes to chronic illness and going outside the medical establishment too much credulity can be harmful. Vice versa, too much incredulity can also be harmful.
*As I stated in the other thread, I hope whatever you do works for your daughter. I understand the frustration and despair that comes with chronic illness. 7 + years running now. Has taken many of my productive young adult prime years. I have compassion for those suffering along side of me. My goal isn't to convince a specific person of anything. My goal is to stimulate critical thinking in others that read the content here and hopefully, as much as possible, encourage objective and unbiased evaluation (understanding that doing that perfectly isn't possible)
* I've seen many questionable and potentially harmful, in a monetary, physical, mental, temporal way, ideas and treatments being espoused in my many years here. I'm not saying I KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt that these ideas should be brushed aside. It means that there are some big red flags and skepticism and evaluation should be applied.
* The only other person in real life that I know with chronic Lyme desperately spent over 100K in a several year time period traveling all over the country and did not improve. Everybody should remember that when you swipe that card, write that check, hand over that cash the provider/clinic you are using has already achieved success. Whether anything they do actually improves you or not they already got paid. My goal is providing healthy skepticism to some of the claims I see here so similar fates don't befall others.
* As far as this particular product goes, on it's own website it doesn't list the ingredients. That is a HUGE red flag. I struggle to understand how any rational person could not see that. However, as with anything in life, I am
open to new information and better understandings. It doesn't bother me to change my mind. In fact, I enjoy it.
