I thinknmy body is in a constant inflammatory state maybe because of the toxins from thr infections and from mould illness and all the other hypersensitivities I keep having to sonmany things.
I have mold illness and chemical sensitivities in addition to Lyme/co. I understand that constant inflammatory state.
To get out of that state, these are the most important things I found in my journey:
1. Get out of mold exposure and stay out (including possessions that were in the moldy environment).
2. Stay away from fragrance, chemicals, smoke, exhaust fumes, etc.
3. Get away to places with clean, comfortable air where you feel relief and sparse people around - a beach, park, or even a large building that feels especially clean to you.
4. TUDCA helped me the most with mold and chemical sensitivities.
5. Treatment for MCAS is needed during the worst times. There are various treatments. I used Zyrtec, Cromolyn sodium, DAO supplements, NeuroProtek, AllerDHQ. Taking these REGULARLY, not randomly, can help stabilize the exaggerated responses, but it takes time and treatment needs to continue for weeks to months.
6. For herx relief, epsom salt baths helped temporarily. Alka seltzer Gold or baking soda helps some people. Hydrogen tablets can also help. Keeping electrolytes balanced helps.
7. If you can tolerate some herbal treatments, you could add those in. I used Buhner’s protocols as a guide to treat the 3 B’s. I started off with Japanese knotweed, Chinese skullcap, and danshen. I had some herxing. Didn’t notice any improvements until I added houttuynia and then Sida acuta. I used powdered knotweed and tinctures for the other herbs. I added much more later, but that’s what I started with. I started at tiny doses and increased by a drop or two at a time. Chinese skullcap and kudzu root had a relaxing effect on me and relieved some of the body tension and intense feelings.
