I have been treating for Lyme, bartonella and babesia for 3 months. My left side started out very weak but now my right arm is beginning to get weaker. Is this something that will eventually get better in time?
These infections seem to cause a lack of circulation. Then your muscles, nerves and even tendons are basically starving for nutrients. And its been documented that Lyme can, to some extent, "calcify" tendons and muscle areas if nothing is done to counter act it.
To slow this downward spiral and speed up healing you need to improve the circulation by learning how to use a foam fitness roller and a LaCross ball on tight areas. You-tube has this info as well as Nerve Glide home exercises.
Learning this saved me thousands of dollars (years of income) since I was then able to work. I could not even use a computer or stand for more than 10 minutes before doing the above, was very near "unemployable".
Note: I had this for decades,. Did not treat til daily functioning became difficult. Worked on my gut on my own for several years (including Candida), then with a functional MD/ LLMD (found leaky gut) before ABX. Then I only treated with ABX for 14 months off and on stretched out to 1.5 - 2 years. Was about
75% improved when I stopped ABX. Then up to 90% improved a few years later (and mid 50's age). Timed involved depends on the person and whats done. I had muscle, tendon and nerve damage that takes a lot of time to repair. Past injures that would not heal when ill have much improved, but I had to work on them.
I still do fitness rolling many days but I was very athletic so that's pretty normal to do. I can now (again) peddle bikes, ski, hike, canoe, snowmobile, resume gym workouts ....anything but play my guitar (the damage in wrist nerves was bad and there is scar tissue. None of that was possible 8-10 years ago.
