Lyme and Root Canals

Is it possible that his username is Forest and maybe his login name is ThatForestGuy? I'm just asking because there's a difference between username and login name on this forum, for some reason.

I do remember Forest if that's who you're referring to, and I hope that he will find better health soon! For the root canal issue you might want to look into the book AcciDental Blow Up in Medicine by Simon Yu, he talks a lot about these types of dental issues in his book.

I also just wanted to thank everyone here for the help. I am on/off, but I WAS overall better for a bit. We recently had found where the mold is (possibly, but 99% sure) coming from the bathroom floor (and walls). You see, the other night, I had went to the bathroom to simply pee and the toilet overflowed. I was in really bad shape, and so she (Jorunna) was sweet enough to help me because my symptoms were just plan bad. As she was cleaning it up, I needed immediate help, so she came down into the kitchen with me. I got up and showed the method I use for vacuuming my juices. During this, water started coming down through the light fixture in the kitchen. Wee were like "what the hell is going on?" Then it hit, she hadn't finished cleaning up the floor. It was kind of a blessing. Why in the world would water come through so easily? This tells me that over the years, with the many people who have lived here before me that the floor was never properly sealed off. We have a heater in the bathroom with copper pipes that come through. There are gaps around these with no treatment (and hardly any caulking around the bathroom, might I add). There's got to be tons of mold in the ceiling and likely in the walls. This would explain my ERMI score of 33.4/HERTSMI score of 40, which is apparently pretty damn bad. So I am pretty sure this is the true source. Luckily, we are planning on moving out in the middle/at the end of this year once we have a little bit of money saved. Not taking a thing with us either, including the clothes on our back. Not taking chances on any of this stuff. Going to get the dental work I need and do so much so I can tackle my underling infections as well, but this mold has been screwing me over for the last couple of years. Hell, it's been a problem even before now, because I got REALLY sick whenever I had any kind of infection. I am lucky to have survived those 3 times I've had pneumonia, and the other 50+ or so times I have had other various infections throughout my life. Knock on wood, but I don't know how my body has handled all of this over the years. Maybe it's because I am here for a reason, who knows. All that I know is I will never take life for granted again, that's for sure, but I've still got lots of work to do!

I'm going to do my best with this. It's a bit more complicated than just that unfortunately, it's the state. I have been through so much with them in the last couple of years and I can just imagine there's some crap that would be pulled. We are moving from here soon anyways, so we're just going to ovoid the toilet and shower water from getting in the holes and also keeping that door closed as well. Then I plan to bring it up when we have enough cash to move for good. I also don't think this is the only thing, but part of the problem. I really think overall I just have had a bad mix of things from bad teeth/gums (planning to fix soon), getting poor support from doctors that are focused on the wrong treatment (especially not explaining things n a way that works for my weird brain), and also likely not getting tests I probably need. I am not entirely sure, probably shouldn't reply to this when I am so confused but that's what I got lol.

Thank you for your kind words. When I am like this, it's hard to talk to others or reply. I wish I were in a better state of mind, then I could say what I need to say. It's a lot for me. It's just so much. I know how I am when I am well and I can't wait to have that again. Who knows, maybe one day I will feel even better than I did prior to this.

That’s the problem with apartments. Most toilets and bathtubs in apartments have been overflowed many times based on how old the building is.

Usually it’s kids. Sometimes drunk people. And even careful people make mistakes once in a while so it happens over and over.

If landlords had to fix all this the right way no one would be able to live there due to the cost. Mold Repair in any multilevel building is extremely costly. Not Always an easy answer for this.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. The people who've lived here prior to me likely didn't give a damn. The last person that was here apparently washed his motorcycle parts in the bathtub. Mmm, that's one hell of a detox bath!

Regardless, as saraeli has stated, this can be seen as a fire hazard and due to this, they will be forced to at least do something about that. If anyone gets into there enough and sees the black inside the ceiling and walls, then something will be done... hopefully. But it's true, they really want to avoid this stuff at all costs. They really don't care because it's not them. They think it's just some asthma and maybe a couple of rashes here and there. It's just how it is. In time, it'll all work out though. I'm not keen on wanting to leave yet, only because we have absolutely nowhere to go. At least my home is "comfortable" in the sense of a familiar setting and it's very cheap to live here. That's what I need right now. We're saving and then out of here, hopefully looking for a new place. By new, I mean a completely new home. It's gonna be a bit before this happens though, because we want to do this right. Absolutely nothing will come with us either, including the clothes on our back or even IDs and other cards. As far as what we keep, it'll go in a lockbox that will be stored elsewhere for the time being, never being brought into the house. We are gonna do this as best we can and then eventually we will figure that stuff out. This is the only way to be absolutely sure. Hell, I'll even wash my body/hair down with tea tree and vinegar if I have to, then cut my hair off. Gotta do what you gotta do, even if it seems kinda crazy. At. this point, I'm happy with that.
