First acupuncture session and liver detox

I had my first acupuncture session yesterday, where it was about 45 min talking about my health situation and she checking my tunge and my pulse, and 45 min of acupuncture. She thinks the liver is the big problem in my case and she used needles for liver and digestion.

I already know that my detox systems don’t work as well as I tend to get more symptoms when detoxing with supplements and earthing for example.
The main symptom Im looking for help with is my tear canal for the left eye that has an infection, and where it gets blocked. And general sensitivities that have improved but still have a way to go.

I have been feeling pretty unwell and last night I woke up at 3 am and couldn’t sleep for a few hours. about that time is connected to liver issues if I remember correctly. Went a lot to the bathroom today, my mouth smelled bad, etc.
I think this will be interesting. She also recommended to decrease sugar that I have been eating way too much lately, to help the liver.

Next session is in six days.
I have never tested my liver values… Tried at the doctor last time but got denied.

Feeling a lot better today. I have had quite few mountain bike sessions this year as started the season late and didn’t ride for a few weeks when I got likely Covid. But during those sessions, there has been some yellow stuff coming out of my eye.

I had the same today during bench press at the gym where a lot came out that I have not experienced before, and the same when I went for a long walk today when it was a bit windy. So it seems that my body already is starting to clear the stuff out 😊

It continued to get out some yellow stuff from the tear canal yesterday during my morning walk and when I went mountain biking but less than the day before. I had the day off yesterday and also went hiking and had a few beers, and today I feel very tired and rundown. It's likely that my liver is working more and didn’t like to have alcohol in the system.

I think the acupuncture + that I got a guitar two weeks ago to have more non-screen hobbies will help a lot in getting the final percentages of health.

I'm trying to incorporate more things to help my liver that I have been avoiding or doing very rarely as I would get more detox symptoms. Yesterday we hit the beach with about 90 min of earthing in the sand and a lot of cold water immersion. It's quite nice to just sit in the ocean with water up to the neck and focus on breathing.

Been taking a magnesium mix with l-threonate and also some broccoli sprouts powder that both have caused me to detox more. I can take another magnesium without any issues but this form seems to do something in me. The more I detox the liver the less problems I should have with these, so I'm trying to push it a bit and should do more sauna, and Epsom baths to compensate.
Took glutathione also which I take quite infrequently.

An interesting thing from yesterday is that I had a gluten-free pizza (my second in about five years), and I didn’t have any lactose tablets with me and that went quite well. I then tried some casava chips at home, but that didn’t go well and I got gassy and a swollen stomach after a few minutes. I used to eat about 400 g of salted potato chips a week before, but after taking a break for over one month, my stomach started to react after eating chips.

TUDCA seems great but is quite expensive here. Unless she recommends something I will stick to all the supplements I already have.

Are you not able to get Nutricost brand? I have been buying it from Amazon. It’s a well reviewed brand among the body building community.

Yes, but about 2x the price compared to the US. Not trying to add more supplements when I already have a lot of good ones and rather focus on other things.

I went mountain biking on Monday and it was the first time where my left eye didn’t have tears running for this year. Same for the gym this morning when I was doing chest press lying down on a bench, where I normally have to wipe my eye after each set.

Had my second session today and she is still focusing on the liver, where I will have one session a week the first four times. Been feeling awful again but better after sauna so hope to get some better sleep this time.

Started to read this book also, that I think will be very beneficial for me

I had my third session on Tuesday this week and I have been feeling pretty awful. So I will reschedule the session I have next week and do it the week after instead. My girlfriend will also try it now and will have her first session next week.

Work stress has been pretty crazy also with a big deadline next week that Im helping out with. But it's getting more chill now again.

I coughed up some stuff on Saturday and have been feeling pretty awful for being me, with symptoms I havent had for a long while. I try to reinforce that Im actually getting better, but sometimes it's quite hard. Especially as it's been the most stressful time in the job for the last year with the boss even sitting next to me today at work for a while asking questions and wanting help….

We have booked one week in Austria in September with hiking, mountainbike and an amazing nature Airbnb, so looking forward to that. Have some issues/symptoms that I will work on to fix before that so I can enjoy it more.

My girlfriend had her first acupuncture session today. She is very tired now and it will be interesting to see how it goes after this.

I'm a bit better after a less technical mountain bike session today. Normally I push a bit too much, so it was nice with an easier one. I think I will try to increase the frequency and do that more often. I haven't been able to do as much as I want, so this could be a way to solve that.

I had a lot of yellow stuff comming out of my right eye this morning, so not the eye I have problems with. Very interesting. Also had my fourth acupuncture session today and I'm going to the bathroom a lot.

It is interesting, are you convinced it is the acupuncture having an impact on how you feel..?
I also have similar physical error this morning my eyes was worse than they have been for a good while, feeling as full of gravel. Please keep us informed are wondering if that is the direction I also should take atm..👍

Yes, I’m 100 % that its the acupuncture that is helping my body with clearing out the infection I have around my eyes.

Cool. Maybe you can ask the acupuncturist what technique or the treatment name of that particular acupuncture..? I understand it is targeting the liver in some way..?

That is too hard to say. She is putting needles in many places, including in my face a bit below my eyes, and changes a bit between the sessions also. My girlfriend is off to her second session right now.
