Would you please tell me your mold protocol. I am am having my house tested and inspected today. Darn.

Usual recommendation is diflucan (fluconazole) but this messed with my sodium/potassium too much, so I take mepron (atovaquone) instead. That works fine, but it's $$$. Taking antifungals doesn't seem to cause me any noticeable herx, the itching and allergy symptoms just go away.

Mepron for mold? I wasn’t aware that it can treat mold.

Mepron is FDA-approved to treat pneumocystis, which is a type of fungus. It will hit many types of fungus, and anything with a susceptible cytochrome bc1 complex, which also includes bartonella (but not borrelia).

Are you talking about a protocol to treat your home or your body?

Have you had a urine test for mycotoxins? If so, which types of mycotoxins were found in your system? How you treat for mycotoxin illness depends partly on which kinds you have been exposed to because different binders are effective for different mycotoxins.

Or were you diagnosed with mold illness based on the non-specific blood tests (c4a, MMP9, VEGF, VIP, etc.)?

The general wisdom is that the first step to treating mold toxicity is to remove yourself from exposure. Let us know how the home inspection goes!

The first resource for mold illness I recommend is the book Toxic by Neil Nathan.

My Dr. Told me i had mold, she had given
me a test she goes by the shoemaker protocol, I think I've had it a while, thought it was Bart symptoms. Symptoms all run together. Getting ready to order the Emri test kit anybody have any experience with this. My head hasn't felt right for a while.
My ANA came back high, she said get the mold out of your house and body and inflammation will go down and ANA should go back to normal. I just feel lost.

I feel like a just need to clean my house before the EMRI TEST. I hate to admit it but I don't dust very often. I know with the EMRI test kit you get like dust rags and wipe the surfaces I'm afraid I will have to much dust on it from one place. What to do

If you clean the area, wait several days before swabbing for dust..cleaning chemicals can alter ERMI test results.

The dust is what you want. Being lackluster at cleaning is actually a great situation for an ERMI dust sample! If you kept your house spotless, then the experts would tell you to find the dustiest spot you could, like the top of a picture frame or door frame, because the dust that accumulates over time is most likely to be a representative sample of all the mold species that grow in your house over the course of a year (or more) and in what proportions. A spot that gets dusted regularly (like the coffee table) would only have recent dust, which would not paint a very thorough picture. Dust lots of offbeat surfaces with the test rag, and make it filthy, for best results!

Thanks for all the reply my husband cleaned a lot yesterday I didn't think I needed to be in it. The basement had some mold. He also swept and dusted the main floor, didn't touch upstairs bedrooms. I hope I can recover from this I've had lots of symptoms thinking Lyme but never have gotten better from Lyme and Co infections. My husband kept telling me we don't have mold. YES WE DO.....

Ok since this mold thing has been going on I've been sleeping in our camper..our camper stays in our Pole Barn when not camping. So I went and took a good look in Pole Barn mold on insulation, am I still being exposed to mold with camper in POLE Barn? am I not safe anywhere.

Moon61, I understand this must be so frustrating. People can think it’s in your head if they don’t deal with it. It’s not in your head. If the pole barn isn’t being ventilated with open doors and windows, then the air entering the camper is most likely contaminated. Can the camper be moved outside? That would be better option.
