How are the chances?

Hey peeps,

my lyme-literate doctor is quite careful about Abx. She only prescribed minocycline paired with artemesia, samento and Banderol all of that for 6 weeks.

Then she wants me to stay Off abx for 4 weeks and then make a LTT

While Feeling better while taking Mino I'm far away from a breakthrough.

Since almost everybody is using 2 or even 3 abx i am wondering how big the chances of Remission actually are with Mino alone

i had a buddy of a buddy use lowdose mino for years with diet to get rid of arthritis. dr wahls used something similar... probably as good as any chances....

u can add anti spirocheteal herbs like allicin , andrographis, oil of oregano. or combine with things like rife .... what is LTT?

everyone is on a continuum - so its very hard to say what will work for any individual

-some peole get infected and do not get sick at all
-some get sick and recover without abx
-some get sick and recover after short course of abx ( though not often if it is chronic => 6 months of illness)
-some get sick and get better after long course of multiple abx
-some do not seem to get better even after many long courses of abx

unfortunately, this means there is no set treatment course

in the case of an illness of more than 6 months duration 6 weeks seems a bit on the short side
most LLMDs tend to say treat untill symptoms resolve - and then for another 4+ weeks

i am also not convinced on the wisdom of trying to use a LTT test to measure if the infection is gone / reduced.

its one of the worldwide recognized major challenged of lyme disease that we currently have no reliable test that can tell when the infection has been eradicated
to my knowledge this includes the LTT

if it were me i would ask my doctor for a scientific reference to support that use case.
possibly the LTT might drop 3-6 months after successful treatment - but i somewhat doubt it would drop within 4 weeks - if it is known to do so, then there will be studies showing that

Well my doctor said that the LTT can be false negative while doing abx so she recommends comming Off of it before Testing.

OK that makes more sense - i haven't seen anything on abx causing a false negative LTT - but we know some abx are anti-inflammatory in nature - and so this could POSSIBLY result in some form of mild immune suppression while on them - which in turn MIGHT impact how the NK cells respond.
