It's not recommended for myocarditis. When I tried it, it increased my pain.

We conducted a systematic review of the literature concerning myocarditis, aspirin and NSAIDs. We examined five animal studies of NSAIDs (indomethacin and ibuprofen) and aspirin in coxsackievirus B3- and B4-induced myocarditis. These studies indicated a deleterious effect of NSAIDs and aspirin in this setting, demonstrating a 2- to 3-fold increase in inflammation, myocytes necrosis and even mortality when compared with placebo. This possible deleterious effect was more predominant when NSAIDs or aspirin were administered during the acute and subacute phases of myocarditis; however, it was still noted when NSAIDs were administered during the late phase of the disease

no apologies needed - NSAID's are still the recommended treatment for pericarditis in many health care systems

lyme can cause almost any heart problem you care to name - but that doesn't mean i has or will do

the way i read your report - ejection fractions were 50% or above - which as i understand it is in the normal range - which is good considering you know you have some slight valve damage

overall, i would not get into too much of a tailspin over it - there not much you can do about it in the next 2 weeks anyway - other than try not to get too stressed - as that defo will not help - so wait to speak to the cardiologist to get a read on the report.

in the meantime just do what you can to calm the immune system
relaxation/meditation, low inflammatory foods diet, natural anti-inflammatories,

vigorous exercise is contra indicated - but i am still walking and doing mild exercise - as its good for immune function and mood etc

Yeah, I know I should stay calm but I'm freaking out. Because Lyme can be fixed, however long it may take, but heart damage can't.

i have the same concerns as i am dealing with a similar thing right now - complete with trips to the ER etc

the thing is - worrying about the things we cannot change doesn't help - just digs us a deeper hole.

overall most things that go wrong with the heart - esp if driven by infection can resolve completely - scar tissue - perhaps not - but that just one of a dozen or more things

my dad had scar tissue on his heart from heart attacks in his 40's and lived an active life for another 40 years

got to focus on the things you can do something about - lifestyle, stress management, treatment etc - and try and keep your head out of the 'what ifs' -

i haven't seen any scientific studies showing that they can actually break down scar tissue in the heart - but then i have to say i haven't looked either - so its possible - will have a browse

bromelain tends to have some mild anti-inflammatory action as well - i am still taking it

in fact i am still taking all the Buhner herbs - and fish oil and vitamin c and pretty much everything anti-inflammatory - and i still have this heart issue - so whatever it is that COVID does (if that was ultimately the trigger) seems to be pretty persistent

i do think its possible in may case that the inflammation from herx like effects from killing bart/lyme with oil of oregano may have added to the total inflammation in the heart and helped COVID trigger it - as the timing really seemed to coincide with the oil of O dose increases - but then association is not causation - and maybe COVID with underlying bart was enough - very hard to say.

there were other signs that oil of O was powerful at killing bart where it hides in the cells lining the blood vessels - like increased capillary refill times after dose increases - which increases my index of suspicion of it being in the mix.

i was able to introduce bromelain with only mild manageable reactions

i take a lot of herbs that are anti-inflammatory in nature and i guess they are likely to be helping in some small way

i think in your case if its clear its triggered by COVID - then i think i would be focussed on things that could address that specifically - and in particular the immune dysfunction that causes it to drive issues with the heart

ref your covid becoming immune to ivermectin

is that a demonstrated thing for Sars-COV-2? - and how do you know for sure that has happened in your case
i only ask as i wasn't aware that viruses were prone to developing antimicrobial resistance genes in the same way that bacteria are - as they are much much simpler things

but paxolid only generally seems to be of benefit in reducing overall severity if taken in the very early stages of COVID infection - whereas i understand your symptoms started after the vaccine

and Tollovid seems to have only anecdotal evidence behind it - like a case study of a single patient published by 2 people who work for the manufacturer - and even then it was used at the same time as anti-coagulant / antiplatelet triple therapy

so if it were me i would be v wary of concluding i had COVID that had become resistant based on those data points

i have used hawthorn quite bit

i found the leaves finely powdered 2x 400mg a day seems to have a mild effect on improving sleep

i also foraged wild berries - dried them and made tincture - but was always a little suspect that some mold had been able to grow on then before they were fully dry - i dont seem to have a mold issue myself( not reactive to environments) - so i selected the best ones and tinctured those - never noticed any ill effects - but also didn't notice any benefit to sleep from the berry tincture

with the recent heart issues - i restarted the tincture and stepped to dose up pretty high - 3x 5ml per day ( had been more like 1.25ml 3x a day before) - ran out after a few weeks and switched to the same berries ground and made into a tea x2 per day - at which point sleep and all over pain got defo worse - heart stuff settled down a bit too - but may not be connected

i carefully cut open a few berries and found a small amount of mold was present - so i think there was enough mold to cause issues. stopped.

switched to tea made from fresh foraged 100% mold free leaves - and sleep issues settled down after about 2 weeks and had no further issues with sleep / pain.

i would say berries are v hard to dry without mold occurring - i tried several times and there was always some at the tip of the berry where the flower was located - i have noted it also on commercial berries i have purchased. so i think its a general problem

sometimes when Chinese herb suppliers advertise them you can see that the berry outer fruit has been shaved off the stone in a little spiral by machine - like an orange peel - clever - i guess they know of the issue - and do this so that it will dry much more easily quickly - ie no mold

apart from that issue i think its safe to take long term

OK i looked that supplement up - it wasn't an extract or concentrate - just powdered berry - so the dose is actually pretty low compared to, for example, the dose of tincture i was taking ( maybe 3-4x) - or tea (2x)
i never noticed any tiredness from those doses at all

only the leaf seemed to help my sleep - but not by inducing tiredness - more just helping the quality of sleep when i did sleep - if that makes sense

odd. i guess anyone can react differently to any herb or medicine - aside from the poor sleep after high doses of what i took to be somewhat contaminated berry i have never had any ill effects from it -

i wouldn't worry about stopping it either way

someone on reddit recommended me to them and i am unsure if it was an ad or actual genuine help. they seem to sell buhner herbs and stuff.

ref advertising - thanks for your caution - but its OK to mention a supplier by name here - its not generally regarded as advertising if we are just asking about people experiences or asking for feedback on a supplier from other forum members.

if someone pops up out of no-where - and says "Buy this product if you want to be cured!!" in 6 different threads - that's where we start to get a little more concerned.

ref that company i have experience of using them for a number of years - i looked around for alternative suppliers of buhner herbs after having been less than impressed with the quality of 1 or 2 of the items from other available to Europe.

have found them to be helpful and ethical as far as i can tell
for instance over the years one or two packaged have been damaged by the postal carrier or opened and damaged by customs - not their fault - but they have replaced or refunded without quibble.

i have also had some conversations via email with the owner over that time - who is helpful - but i think fair to say more a small business person than a expert herbalist.
that said they do seem to do good work finding suitable high quality sources of Chinese and African herbs - some of which are hard to source elsewhere. They also source some locally in Poland and from the UK.

when i asked about the sources and quality of the Chinese herbs the owner tells me they source them from the same source as used by many of the larger TCM based hospitals and clinics in China - and this gives him confidence in the quality of the herbs.
i would of course prefer if certificates of analysis were provided by all suppliers - but this is not available elsewhere in medicinal herbs market - so in the absence of this, the above approach seems to be at least pragmatic.

i have not tried or even looked into any of their combination products - as i prefer to order separate herbs in cut or powdered form and make my own tinctures from them - this is the lowest cost for me long term - and this way i have more control over the process.

but i have seen nothing that would cause me concern over their combinations - overall i find the quality is good.

Buhner's books are the definitive source for his herbs protocols - especially his second edition of healing Lyme (which is the most up to date ) and his bartonella / co-infections book
but i suspect Lymeherbs.eu follow these fairly closely
