If the nerves are affected (possibly) it takes a long time to regenerate. Took me several years.
I had multiple reasons for lower nerve issues though not just infections, some also body/mechanical.
Elevated glucose can do that too. Even stress can do this (I found links stating so when googling in the past). When its stress induced, its temporary though, but still days long.
I also had internal Candida (similar in nature to mold). So was this also contributing (?).
Unless your heavy metals are very high, I would not limit the cause to this. And I'd get conventional medicine metal testing done as a cross check. If you dont have insurance but are in driving distance to an online participating blood draw
location (Quest, Labtech (?), others), pay online then make the drive. No insurance or face to face Dr needed.
