I'm reading this forum a lot less lately, but as it's been 10 years around this date since I went to the hospital, and I hit my biggest measurable goal for when getting better so I wanted to give an update.
At the beginning of Aug 2013, I went to the hospital with an allergic reaction when we lived in Canada in an apartment with mold. After that it slowly went downhill and my girlfriend also got sick. I got Lyme a few years after that.
One thing that I was very proud of that happened a short while after I got sick was hitting 100 kg in bench press and 150 % of my body weight. I'm not doing 1 rep max anymore but I did 10 reps at 75 kg this week and that is 100 kg in 1 rep max in calculators for this. Getting back to this fitness level has been the biggest goal I have had and it feels great to hit it. Still not well but nice to see.
I'm still going to acupuncture and it keeps on helping with my blocked tear duct problems.
One of my biggest issues is sensitivity and I had a lot of problems with my glasses and pressure problems. So I went all in on the Bates method to fix my near sightness
https://seeing.org/ I have not had glasses for one month, and will only use them when needed for short times at work.
