Hey,

I may be posting much, but I find this very huge and it might be helpful for others.

I have had a lot of "idiopathic" hypercalcaemia since I turned sick. We never found out why.
Today I found this case-report from 1998:

Conclusions: Our cases provide evidence that cat-scratch disease can produce hypercalcemia through the unregulated production of the metabolite 1,25(OH)2D. Cat-scratch disease should be added to the list of granuloma-forming diseases that are responsible for 1,25(OH)2D-mediated hypercalcemia.

Oh boy oh dang maybe my calcium levels will finally go down after i get my rifampin...

i dont know if you guys are suprised but for me this is a huge finding.

HAVE A BLESSED ONE - specially the ones that feel very sick.

Oh wow, this is a great one! Very cool and thank you for sharing!

This explains some things, for sure. For example, I've heard many Lyme patients are low in Magnesium, so that might be one of the several reasons that could (partially) explain this, given the elevated calcium (check out the Calcium-Magnesium Ratio).

no apologies needed - i think Quin was just underlining your point - that lots of issues with Vit D and Calcium seem to pop up in this population

If you are taking vitamin d supplements, you must take it with Vitamin K2 alongside it. It prevents the calcium from going into soft tissues and places that are undesirable and going to the bones where it is desired and needed.

There are stories of people megadosing the stuff and ultimately it did more harm than good as the Vitamin K2 wasn't used alongside it and it can cause major issues. We know doctor's don't know all that much so yeah always do your due diligence.

Yes. I cant tolrate vitamin d in normal doses, so i take it super low - alongside k2.

However since i started taking msm my body is in shards. My blood pressure is weird: systolic goes up, diastolic goes down: had 130/80 , now something like 140/70, sometimes 130/60, every vein in my body start hurting, my shin pain is back etc.

I try to take healing earth, epsom salt bath and milk thistle to help the body detoxify but dang man, didnt know msm can trigger that.

my body must be full of calcifiations then... they call me one-calc-man /irony

Edit: also i have orthostatic dyspnoe, looked it up - its a symptom of heart failure.

this is a pure sh*itshow. must be the devil. of course its him, blood works mostly normal, patients dying sick. who could invent such evil...

Just to be sure.....have you had your parathyroid gland checked. That will also cause elevated calcium.

I got more hypercalcemia from Lyme than Bart. I suspect this is due to borrelia accumulating vitamin D and then releasing it. Borrelia takes up cholesterol, and seems to take up every other steroid along with it, including vitamin D.

The symptoms I notice from hypercalcemia, aside from peeing a lot and getting dehydrated, which makes my blood pressure go down and heart rate go up as you've already mentioned, is I would get a lot of stomach acid and would get hungry at the same time (because too much calcium messes with insulin release).

There's been some research on using calcium channel blockers (verapamil) to try to protect the pancreatic beta cells from this effect. I haven't tried taking verapamil, so I don't have any personal experience with this.

Verapamil might be a bit risky if it lowers your blood pressure. When detoxing, I often end up taking a bunch of hydrocortisone just to keep my blood pressure up.

If you're getting hypercalcemia, definitely watch your blood sugar, as it will mess with insulin and this can eventually lead to diabetes.

It has been in the high 90s since. Usually i Had a perfect 80-85
