I'm sorry you're dealing with this Astro. How low exactly are your IgGs? Sorry to ask and you dont have to answer, but do you have insurance? Reason I ask is IgG deficiency is something insurance usually covers IVIG for. You really shouldnt be walking around with super low IgG, and bringing it back up could help in multiple ways.
It's really not anywhere near affordable if insurance doesnt pay.
Blazer, are you trying to get Pentaglobin? That's the IVIG product I know of that also has IgM.
Thanks for replying dcd.
I am going to get the sub-classes lab tested again very soon, last time the sub-classes were tested was 18 months ago. I get globulin, total protein and white blood cells count every 6 months from other regular Drs. I just had a remote tela appointment this week with the clinic.
1)My IgG is quite a ways below the minimum, its far from boarderline.
2)Its the same For my IgA too. They said I can do anything for the low IgA and IgG is the only IV available.
3)My IgM is about
1/3 up into the range.
They also try to reassure that these tests do not determine immune strength, just volume. Kinda like a small skilled army vs a bigger unskilled army.
There # one question all the time is if I'm experiencing bacterial infections (of any types) or not. I have not so far after lyme treatment success 7-8 years ago, but always remind them I was a long term Lymie and that it is a bacterial infection.
My low energy might be from these low immunoglobulins.
I have not contacted my insurance (thru work) in fear that it will raise a red flag. In some states your health status reflects your insurance cost.
**Question, once you start IVIG must you repeat it every six weeks forever? Will your body then rely on it?**
I dont want to rely on a huge Rx IVIG cost should I get unemployed as then I might not be able to get new insurance thats affordable since I will be labeled with an incurable disease.

dcd- thanks for mentioning Pentaglobin. Is that also an IV?..and is it new?
The clinic said there is nothing for low IgM. Maybe they just dont have it yet.

I joined one of the two low immune association in the US, everything they do/have/support is for kids, as they assume they will not be adults for very long.
Thats great, but they need to consider adults with this too. (Then they ask me to donate $... lol, I kind of need my $ for my health challenges).
