hi Rainy
i tried colostrum a few weeks ago - will give my impressions below
i used now brand - 500mg capsules because it said it had guaranteed amounts of IgG in it
Now said...
Each capsule contains: Dried Bovine Colostrum (Bos taurus) 500 mg (Standardized to contain 25% IgG Antibodies*)
*the pack i bought actually stated 30%
i started at 1x 500mg capsule per day with food - and went up to 3x 500mg per day with food for approx 4 weeks
i was surprised that i experienced no herx like reactions that i could detect - especially as it has lactoferrin in it - which has anti-biofilm properties
but also i did not experience any beneficial effects that i could notice
as you know i have a rather sophisticated way of tracking any positive or negative effects from medications or supplement trials
i don't feel it did anything for my systemic symptoms - i took it for inflammation in my gut - which i have ongoing from bart etc - it may have helped a little with that - v hard to say as its quite variable from week to week and very dependent on what i eat
but i would say give it a go -
the only downside i noticed was a slight tendency towards constipation with the higher doses.
