Serrapeptase Lyme and Bartonella

I am taking 120.000 IU but i dont Take IT for lyme I mainly Take it for inflammation and clogged arteries.

I used it years ago with Bicillin to break down biofilm. The combination of the two helped me get a lot better. I'm not sure of the dose I took of Serrapeptase.

Started Bicillin and serrapeptase at the same time - Bicillin was to rid of Borelia and serrapeptase to break down biofilm. It took about a year, but I could feel improvement starting at about 6 months.

I used Serrapeptase for a brief period (one bottle). According to my notes, I had slight dizziness for several hours after my 2nd dose.

I had labs drawn several weeks after starting Serrapeptase and made these notes: “went to Labcorp to get labs done (fasting). This was my 1st time since starting Serrapeptase. Vials filled up very quickly. No pain from the needle. No feeling of bubbling or surges. Only a small dot of blood on bandage. HOWEVER, I didn’t feel right afterwards. I didn’t feel faint, just not right. I drank water on the way there and after leaving, so I didn’t think it was dehydration.” That was in the morning and I didn’t feel okay again until mid-late afternoon.

Other than those 2 incidents, I never noticed anything that I suspected could be related to the Serrapeptase.

What was the reason you stopped taking it? Those incidents or lack of improvement?

there are a group of fibrinolytic enzymes available as supplements that do very similar things to serrapeptase and that can be tried as alternatives

-lumbrokinase is about the strongest - much stronger than serrapepatase - but expensive
-bromelain is similar in strength to serrapeptase - and typically the least expensive
-nattokinase - again similar in strength

all give me considerable herx like symptoms - esp when taken alongside antimicrobials
lumbrokinase being by far the strongest for me

i have used bromelain the most - i use 2x 500mg of 300dgu/g strength bromelain for around 1 year now
in my microscopy thread there are photos of my blood before and 6 weeks after using it and there was a pretty dramatic reduction in fibrin/amyloid fragments.

its also known to help break down some components of biofilm ( so not only fibrin but other extra cellular bacterial proteins )

on its own i haven't found it particularly helpful in terms of fighting disease or reducing symptoms - despite the positive results in my blood - but it increases the effectiveness of antimicrobials by dissolving fibrin deposits that can otherwise protect bacteria - and help break up biofilms so the antimicrobials and immune system have a better chance of working on the bacteria - so that's where i think its main usefulness is.
