It's been 11 months with Lyme. Did not have any heart issues through the process until a couple of days ago I started experiencing heart palpitations. I also began Mepron at the same time.
Could this be apart of the detoxing process, or a new symptom? Or maybe a side effect of the new abx?
And should I be concerned? I'm not sure how dangerous this could be

Heart palps can be a symptom of lyme. It also can be a complication. See a doctor and have it checked out just to be sure. Better to KNOW than to guess, especially with the heart.

I would encourage you to increase your detoxing while you wait, as that may lessen the heart palps. I get them randomly still for no good reason(other than I still have these infections), and I know how bothersome they can be!
Heart palps are not listed as a possible side effect of Mepron - so I would ask your doctor about
it, just to be safe.

I've had heart palps for a while before Lyme symptoms ever came around. Maybe I've had Lyme longer than I thought, but not sure. I was diagnosed with tachycardia around 15 years ago, dr said I had a healthy heart, it would just wear out sooner. Sleeping heart rate was 100. I've had palpitations at least that long, but they did get worse here lately. The only thing good I took from seeing doctors during this Lyme journey, was that the green tea extract supplement that I was taking would cause palpitations. I quit taking it and they did decrease a lot, didn't completely go away though. My heart rate has came down during Lyme, not sure if it's the herbals or what.

They come and go throughout most days for me - and I use herbs. It's the infections that cause this for me, as when I'm not on my herbs, they get worse and can continue all day long. It's not dangerous, but it is disturbing. I have had about
3 bouts of palps just today - I'm sure more will be coming as the day progresses. =(

Mepron = Babesia Dieoff = Herx
Classic cause and effect.
Could be the heart, the nerves, the endothelial cells or a few other things but it seems pretty obvious that the Mepron is causing the issues the question is it bug die off or a side effect. most likely die off as I've had this and many other folks but its always worth being cautious and getting your heart checked out by a cardiologist.

After starting Mepron for Babesia - I've had a few instances where it feels like I'm having heart palps. But I'm not sure - maybe it's a muscle fascitulation in that area.
It is on Suzy Cohen's Babesia symptom list:

Hey, has anyone had this symptom. When I work out on the Recumbent Bike or any type of Cardio machine my heart rate rises fast in the first couple of minutes to 120 then drops back to 80 while I continue and acts normally after that. This has happened for over 30 years now. Cardiologists do not see a problem with this for me, but it always feels funny. Anyone else?

I agree that this is very likely caused by die-off from the Mepron. It's potent stuff.
If not, it's common with Lymies to have irritation or even damage to their vagus nerve. This important nerve is the longest in the body. Among other things, it helps regulate/signal to the heart, the intestines and more. If it lacks stimulation or sometimes, if it gets too much (Lyme or other tick borne diseases), that can cause heart palpitations or even extra beats.
Solutions include some simple, easy exercises, VNS (vagal nerve stimulation machines), exercise and to a lesser extent, diet. The exercise should include something that makes your body move up and down a tiny bit, such as walking or even jumping up and down slightly on the spot. No need for anything heavy, gentle exercise is fine.

I cured my heart palpitations by taking magnesium. cheap and easy to try and no downside-it took me one week and palpitations were gone

Good point. Magnesium is one of the minerals the heart uses the most. Lack of it can cause all kinds of related symptoms, and the Lyme and the other bugs use up magnesium anyways, esp. to build biofilms.

A little research will show you that 90%+ are defiicient in magnesium so most likely you are. It's a very common issue with heart palpitations

You may want to avoid the Oxide form. My naturopaths told me it can actually increase heart palps.
