Actually. i was careful when i wrote the above.

for the Gliotoxin results - Realtime labs report classifies below 0.5 as "not present" between 0.5 and 1 as "equivocal" - and "present" if equal to or greater than 1.0

so again Sunfun's result of 1.1 for Gliotoxin is therefore only 10% above the threshold of 1.0 for a positive result.

interpretation is challenging...

You are correct. Thank you for clarifying that. I was viewing the results on my phone and zooming in to read it and did not scroll all the way over, missing the middle and right columns.

Thank you both! Walking by Faith, really appreciate your help! Such a detailed response. Now I have to determine what to do next. It's a really sticky situation with my swallowing issues and the impact of the triggers at home. It all just feels so overwhelming. Guess its time to get down on my knees and ask the higher power for some direction. I feel confused.

i am sorry the test was not more clear cut for you sunfun

i had had the same experience with testing several times - i go in expecting something pretty clearly one way or the other and get a kind of grey area result that i hadn't really considered - that takes me a while to get my head around.

i don't know if this is of use to you - or if its worth the money - but as you are likely to move i know it makes spending on testing the house less economically attractive.

i haven't dug into it at all - one of our other members posted it - so i am not advocating it - just passing it on as something that might be of interest now - or something to watch in the future for potential answers

it seems like the original CIRS/Mould guy - Richie Shoemaker is setting up a new testing lab that looks at gene expression markers as a diagnostic to try to tell what's going on in people with CIRS like symptoms - and potentially point to a root cause - eg Mold or something else

its something new - and i don't know how credible he is - he was one of the first medical doctors to bring Mold and CIRS to the awareness of a wider audience - but there now seems to be factions of people in the mold world - with differences of opinion. still what they are doing has in theory a decent chance of shedding light on the conditions root cause and potentially guide appropriate treatment.
maybe just something to watch.

Really appreciate that info. I had an appt with my ND today. She's not a LLND but specializies in mold, MCAS. Anyway I brought up the mold tests and she said they are low but because my body is not mobilizing toxins properly due to poor oral intake, I can't take any binders, it'll be too much for me given my fragile state. So she wants to focus on MCAS and calm the nervous system. Mold is taking a back seat for now until we can sort out the MCAS piece.

I will look into the Shoemaker link you sent. I kind of don't want to keep forking out the $$$ on this area at the same time because I also wonder if this really mold related or of its something else.

Walking by Faith: Thank you and Amen. I spoke to my family yesterday about everything, we came to the conclusion that all we can do is just pray for a light at the end of the tunnel. So that's what I've been doing, praying and trying. Asking for that help when all else seems so impossible. The door opened for me before a few times and brought me relief, I have to hold on to hope that it will happen again.

I'm quite tired at this point of advocating for myself and looking for answers and most of all, giving ppl my money and not finding relief from their treatments. Sigh
