So I had an appointment with my functional medicine practitioner to go over the latest HTMA results I uploaded here. My mineral levels are much improved compared to last year and the ratios of my minerals are much better!
There is still some way to go and to improve upon things but we are heading in the right direction!
Based off the results she said I could stop MSM because my sulphur levels are good now, stop Quinton Isotonic minerals because generally my mineral levels are improved.
She said to carry on with electrolytes to continue to raise my electrolytes levels, carry on with CT minerals from cellcore and carry on with beef kidney which is full of vitamins and minerals.
I have been prescribed vitamin d and calcium from my GP because I had a dexa scan which showed low bone density / oste
openia. My functional medicine practitioner said it's better to get vitamin d from sunlight and just take a calcium tablet without the vitamin d. She said it's because the synthetic vitamin D can lower potassium levels (mine are already low ish and need raising). What do you guys think about
this?
She also recommended to take vitamin k2 because it's important to take this when you are supplementing calcium and vitamin d. Do you guys have any good brand recommendations for this?
I'm already taking iron tablets from my GP for iron deficiency so hopefully this will raise the iron.
I'm increasing my magnesium l threonate supplement dosage to try and raise my magnesium further.
I tried manganese supplement to raise manganese levels but I couldn't tolerate it so had to stop.
The heavy metal levels are much lower than last year so I'm going to continue using distilled water, kidney liver support, biotoxin binder, castor oil packs, zen chi and infrared saunas when I can.
Just wanted to share this positive news and also for anyone in the future who does a HTMA if this will help the interpret their results!
