Hi Palermo, I have POTS. Are you under a cardiologist? Are you doing any treatments or taking any medications for POTS?
Some of the things that have helped me are:
- medical grade compression tights (make sure they cover the abdomen)
- electrolytes in each glass of water (which totals 1-2 servings per day)
- slow release sodium tablets on prescript
ion (you can get ones not on prescript
ion too)
- salting all foods
- salty snacks between meals
- drinking 2-3L water throughout the day
- Mestinon medication
POTs is often worse in the morning. Some of the things to help this are - raising your bed head. You can put blocks or books under the top of your mattress. Put your legs up against the bed head when you wake up. Drink water and electrolytes before you get out of bed.
I found liquorice tincture helpful because it raises blood pressure and I have low blood pressure as well as POTS. This isn’t recommended if you have hyperadrengic type POTS though which causes high blood pressure.
I think Sara had POTS too so she might be able to help!
